Description
インクジェット印刷システムのプリントヘッドのような、流体吐出デバイスは、ノズルから流体滴(例えば、インク)を吐出するために流体チャンバ内のアクチュエータとして熱抵抗器または圧電材料膜を使用することができ、プリントヘッド及び印刷媒体が互いに対して移動する際、ノズルからの適切に順序付けられたインク滴の吐出により、文字または他のイメージが印刷媒体上に印刷されるようになっている。

Claims (12)
- 流体吐出デバイスであって、
流体スロットと、
前記流体スロットと連絡された流体吐出チャンバと、
前記流体吐出チャンバ内の小滴吐出要素と、
第1の端部において前記流体スロットと連絡され、第2の端部において前記流体吐出チャンバと連絡され、第1の部分および第2の部分を含む流体循環チャネルと、
前記流体循環チャネルの前記第1の部分内の流体循環要素であって、前記流体循環チャネルの前記第1の部分が前記流体循環要素において第1の幅を有する、流体循環要素と、
前記第2の端部において前記流体循環チャネルの前記第2の部分内の粒子耐性アーキテクチャとを含み、前記流体循環チャネルの前記第2の部分が、前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャにおいて前記第1の幅よりも大きい第2の幅を有する、流体吐出デバイス。 - 前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャと前記流体循環チャネルの前記第2の部分の第1の側壁との間の最小距離、及び前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャと前記流体循環チャネルの前記第2の部分の第2の側壁との間の最小距離がそれぞれ、前記流体循環チャネルの前記第1の部分の前記第1の幅未満である、請求項1に記載の流体吐出デバイス。
- 前記流体循環チャネルが前記第1の部分と前記第2の部分との間に第3の部分を含み、前記第3の部分が、前記第1の部分の前記第1の幅から前記第2の部分の前記第2の幅まで広がっている、請求項1又は2に記載の流体吐出デバイス。
- 前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャと前記流体循環チャネルの前記第3の部分の第1の側壁との間の最小距離、及び前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャと前記流体循環チャネルの前記第3の部分の第2の側壁との間の最小距離がそれぞれ、前記流体循環チャネルの前記第1の部分の前記第1の幅未満である、請求項3に記載の流体吐出デバイス。
- 前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャが、閉曲線形状からなる、請求項1〜4の何れかに記載の流体吐出デバイス。
- 前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャが、多角形の形状からなる、請求項1〜4の何れかに記載の流体吐出デバイス。
- 流体吐出デバイスであって、
流体スロットと、
前記流体スロットと連絡された流体吐出チャンバと、
前記流体吐出チャンバ内の小滴吐出要素と、
チャネルループを含み、前記流体スロット及び前記流体吐出チャンバと連絡され、第1の側壁および第2の側壁を有する流体循環チャネルと、
前記流体スロットと前記チャネルループとの間で、前記流体循環チャネル内の流体循環要素と、
前記チャネルループと前記流体吐出チャンバとの間で、前記流体循環チャネル内の粒子耐性アーキテクチャとを含み、
前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャと前記流体循環チャネルの前記第1の側壁との間の最小距離、及び前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャと前記流体循環チャネルの前記第2の側壁との間の最小距離がそれぞれ、前記流体循環要素における前記流体循環チャネルの幅未満である、流体吐出デバイス。 - 前記流体循環チャネルの幅が、前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャにおいて増大している、請求項7に記載の流体吐出デバイス。
- 前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャにおける前記流体循環チャネルの前記増大した幅が、前記流体吐出チャンバの幅に実質的に等しいか、又はその幅未満である、請求項8に記載の流体吐出デバイス。
- 流体吐出デバイスを形成する方法であって、
流体吐出チャンバを流体スロットと連絡させ、
小滴吐出要素を前記流体吐出チャンバに設け、
流体循環チャネルを前記流体スロット及び前記流体吐出チャンバと連絡させ、チャネルループを有する前記流体循環チャネルを形成することを含み、
前記流体スロットと前記チャネルループとの間で、前記流体循環チャネルに流体循環要素を設け、
前記チャネルループと前記流体吐出チャンバとの間で、前記流体循環チャネルに粒子耐性アーキテクチャを設け、
前記流体スロットに通じる第1の幅を有する前記流体循環チャネルを画定し、前記第1の幅の範囲内に前記流体循環要素を設け、
前記流体吐出チャンバにおいて前記第1の幅よりも大きい第2の幅を有する前記流体循環チャネルを画定し、前記第2の幅の範囲内に前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャを設けることを含む、方法。 - 前記第2の幅の範囲内に前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャを設けることが、前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャと前記流体循環チャネルとの間の最小距離を、前記第1の幅未満として画定することを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記流体循環チャネルに前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャを設けることが、閉曲線形状および多角形の形状の1つとして、前記粒子耐性アーキテクチャを画定することを含む、請求項10又は11に記載の方法。
