Claims (20)
- 外科ステープリング器具であって、
コードが埋め込まれた部分を含む外科ステープルと、
カートリッジアセンブリと、ピボットの周囲に該カートリッジアセンブリに対して選択的に配置可能なアンビルアセンブリとを含むツールアセンブリと
を含み、
該カートリッジアセンブリが、該外科ステープルの該コードが埋め込まれた部分の位置を検出するための第１のセンサーを含み、該アンビルアセンブリが、該外科ステープルが該アンビルアセンブリと接触するとき、該外科ステープルの該コードが埋め込まれた部分の位置を検出するための第２のセンサーを含む、外科ステープリング器具。 - 前記外科ステープルは、バックスパンと該バックスパンから延びる１対のレッグとを含み、該１対のレッグのうちの少なくとも１つが、前記コードが埋め込まれた部分を含む、請求項１に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記カートリッジアセンブリは、保持チャンネルを規定し、該保持チャンネルは、該保持チャンネルの中に前記外科ステープルを収容し、該第１のセンサーは、該保持チャンネルに隣接して配置される、請求項２に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記第１のセンサーは、前記外科ステープルが、該ステープルの形成の前に前記保持チャンネル内に適切に装填されるとき、前記コードが埋め込まれた部分と整列する、請求項３に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記第１のセンサーは、前記保持チャンネル内で露出される、請求項３に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記第１のセンサーは、前記外科ステープルが該外科ステープルの形成の前に前記保持チャンネル内に適切に装填されるとき、前記コードが埋め込まれた部分と直接に接触する、請求項５に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記アンビルアセンブリは、すかし角を規定し、前記第２のセンサーは、該すかし角に隣接して配置される、請求項２に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記外科ステープルの前記コードが埋め込まれた部分は、該外科ステープルの適切な形成の後に、前記第２のセンサーと整列する、請求項７に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記第２のセンサーは、前記すかし角内で露出される、請求項７に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記第２のセンサーは、前記外科ステープルの適切な形成の後に、前記コードが埋め込まれた部分と直接に接触する、請求項９に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記すかし角は、１対の凹みを含み、各凹みが、前記外科ステープルのそれぞれのレッグを変形させるように構成される、請求項７に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記第２のセンサーは、前記外科ステープルの前記コードが埋め込まれた部分が、該外科ステープルの適切な形成の後に該第２のセンサーと整列するように、前記１対の凹みのうちの１つに隣接して配置される、請求項１１に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記第２のセンサーは、前記外科ステープルのコードが埋め込まれた部分が、該外科ステープルの適切な形成の後に該第２のセンサーと直接に接触するように、前記１対の凹みのうちの１つ内に曝される、請求項１１に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記第１のセンサーは、形成されていない状態の前記外科ステープルの前記コードが埋め込まれた部分の位置を検出するように構成され、前記第２のセンサーは、形成された状態の該外科ステープルの該コードが埋め込まれた部分の該位置を検出するように構成される、請求項１に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 外科ステープリング器具であって、
ハンドルアセンブリと、
該ハンドルアセンブリから長さ方向に延びる細長いシャフトと、
カートリッジアセンブリと、ピボットの周囲に該カートリッジアセンブリに対して選択的に配置可能なアンビルアセンブリとを含むツールアセンブリと、
コードが埋め込まれた部分を含む外科ステープルと
を含む、外科ステープリング器具であって、
該カートリッジアセンブリが、保持チャンネルを規定し、該アンビルアセンブリが、すかし角を規定し、該カートリッジアセンブリが、該外科ステープルの該コードが埋め込まれた部分の位置を検出するための第１のセンサーを含み、該アンビルアセンブリが、該外科ステープルが該アンビルアセンブリと接触するとき、該外科ステープルの該コードが埋め込まれた部分の該位置を検出するための第２のセンサーを含む、外科ステープリング器具。 - 前記外科ステープルは、バックスパンと該バックスパンから延びる１対のレッグとを含み、該１対のレッグのうちの少なくとも１つが、前記コードが埋め込まれた部分を含む、請求項１５に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
- 前記カートリッジアセンブリは、保持チャンネルを規定し、該保持チャンネルは、該保持チャンネルの中に前記外科ステープルを収容し、該第１のセンサーは、該保持チャンネルに隣接して配置される、請求項１６に記載の外科ステープリング器具。
