Description
第1の実施形態として、送信電力に応じて送信アンテナ数を制御する方法について述べる。送信電力の大きさは移動局装置の消費電力に大きな影響を及ぼすため、LTEの上り回線では、移動局装置の送信電力にどの程度余裕があるかを示すパワーヘッドルーム(PH:Power Headroom)がデータの一部として送信されている。本形態ではこのPHを消費電力の基準とする。
本実施形態では、無線回線(リンク)による通信方法の最適化を図るリンクアダプテーションおよびランクアダプテーションを行なうことで所望の無線品質(受信品質)を満たしつつ最大のビットレート(スループット)を達成することを前提とした場合に、受信品質を満たす伝送方法の組み合わせが複数存在する場合に、最も受信アンテナ数が小さくなる組み合わせを選択することで、移動局装置の消費電力を最も低く抑えるよう制御する手法である。ここで、リンクアダプテーションとは、適応変調符号化方式(AMC:Adaptive Modulation and Coding schemes)などの無線品質に応じて変調方式や符号化率を適応的に制御するものであり、ランクアダプテーションとは、MIMO多重する場合に、無線伝搬路で多重可能なストリーム数(ランク)を推定して、適応的にランクを変更する手法である。ここでは、まず説明を簡単にするために、送信アンテナ数とランクが一致するフルランクと呼ばれる場合で説明する。

Claims (6)
- 2つ以上の送信アンテナを用いて基地局装置と通信を行う端末装置であって、
少なくとも通信に使用する前記送信アンテナの数と送信ストリームの数とを切り替えて、データを送信するPUSCH(Physical Uplink Shared Channel)送信部と、
使用する前記送信アンテナの数が1つの場合と複数の場合とで同一の値である自装置の最大送信電力を用いてPH(Power Headroom)を算出するPH算出部とを備え、
前記PUSCH送信部は、算出した前記PHを送信することを特徴とする端末装置。 - 前記同一の値は、1つの前記送信アンテナを用いて通信する際の最大送信電力であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の端末装置。
- 前記PUSCH送信部は、所定のタイミングにおいて、算出した前記PHを送信することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の端末装置。
- 前記PUSCH送信部は、SC−FDMA方式又はClustered DFT−s−OFDM方式を用いて送信することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の端末装置。
- 前記PUSCH送信部は、前記基地局装置から受信した情報に基づいて、少なくとも前記使用する前記送信アンテナの数と前記送信ストリームとを切り替えて前記データを送信することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の端末装置。
- 2つ以上の送信アンテナを用いて通信する通信方法であって、
少なくとも通信に使用する前記送信アンテナの数と送信ストリームの数とを切り替えて、データを送信する送信ステップと、
使用する前記送信アンテナの数が1つの場合と複数の場合とで同一の値である自装置の最大送信電力を用いてPH(Power Headroom)を算出する算出ステップとを少なくとも含み、
前記送信ステップは、算出された前記PHを送信することを特徴とする通信方法。
