Claims (16)
- チャネル状態に関するフィードバック情報をネットワークを介してクライアント端末から受信するステップと、
あるレイヤに関連するコンテンツの符号化されたパケットを前記ネットワークを介して前記クライアント端末に送信するステップと、
再生のデッドラインを有するレイヤード符号化コンテンツパケットの数に関する情報を前記ネットワークを介して前記クライアント端末に送信するステップと、
前記フィードバック情報に基づいて圧縮された前記符号化コンテンツパケットを伝達するためにハイブリッドARQ(automatic repeat request)をレイヤ毎に適用するステップと、前記レイヤ毎のハイブリッドARQは、前記レイヤ毎のハイブリッドARQを後続のレイヤに適用する前に、ベースレイヤからの全てのデータが正しく受信されるまで前記ベースレイヤで開始してそれぞれのレイヤに適用され、それぞれの後続のレイヤは、減少する重要度を有しており、
現在のレイヤに属する全ての圧縮されたレイヤード符号化コンテンツパケットが送信されたと判定された後、圧縮されたレイヤード符号化コンテンツパケットの数に関する受信された情報に基づいて、現在のレイヤについて全ての圧縮されたレイヤード符号化コンテンツパケットが利用可能であると判定された場合に送信される確認メッセージを、前記ネットワークを介して前記クライアント端末から受信するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記ハイブリッドARQをレイヤ毎に適用するステップは、
あるリソースが使い尽くされたかを判定するステップと、
前記リソースが使い尽くされていない場合、あるレイヤのコンテンツの符号化パケットの伝達をスケジュールするステップと、
前記レイヤの全てのコンテンツの符号化パケットが送信されたかを判定するステップと、
前記レイヤの全てのコンテンツの符号化パケットが送信されていない場合、前記最初の判定ステップに進むステップと、
を更に含む請求項1記載の方法。 - タイムスロットのインデックスを初期化するステップと、
レイヤのインデックスを初期化するステップと、
を更に含む請求項2記載の方法。 - 前記レイヤのインデックスが最上位のレイヤのインデックスである場合、前記タイムスロットのインデックスをインクリメントするステップと、
前記レイヤのインデックスを再初期化するステップと、
を更に含む請求項3記載の方法。 - 前記リソースは帯域制限されている、
請求項2記載の方法。 - 前記リソースは、送信時間である、
請求項2記載の方法。 - 前記コンテンツの符号化パケットは、スケーラブルコーダにより生成される、
請求項2記載の方法。 - 前記コンテンツの符号化パケットは、前記レイヤのインデックスにより示されるパケットの重要度の順序で伝達のためにスケジュールされる、
請求項2記載の方法。 - チャネル状態に関するフィードバック情報をネットワークを介してクライアント端末から受信する手段と、
あるレイヤに関連するコンテンツの符号化されたパケットを前記ネットワークを介して前記クライアント端末に送信し、再生のデッドラインを有するレイヤード符号化コンテンツパケットの数に関する情報を前記ネットワークを介して前記クライアント端末に送信する手段と、
前記フィードバック情報に基づいて圧縮された前記符号化コンテンツパケットを伝達するためにハイブリッドARQ(automatic repeat request)をレイヤ毎に適用する手段とを備え、前記レイヤ毎のハイブリッドARQは、前記レイヤ毎のハイブリッドARQを後続のレイヤに適用する前に、ベースレイヤからの全てのデータが正しく受信されるまで前記ベースレイヤで開始してそれぞれのレイヤに適用され、それぞれの後続のレイヤは、減少する重要度を有しており、
前記受信手段は、現在のレイヤに属する全ての圧縮されたレイヤード符号化コンテンツパケットが送信されたと判定された後、圧縮されたレイヤード符号化コンテンツパケットの数に関する受信された情報に基づいて、現在のレイヤについて全ての圧縮されたレイヤード符号化コンテンツパケットが利用可能であると判定された場合に送信される確認メッセージを、前記ネットワークを介して前記クライアント端末から受信する、
装置。 - 前記ハイブリッドARQをレイヤ毎に適用する手段は、
あるリソースが使い尽くされたかを判定する手段と、
前記リソースが使い尽くされていない場合、あるレイヤのコンテンツの符号化パケットの伝達をスケジュールする手段と、
前記レイヤの全てのコンテンツの符号化パケットが送信されたかを判定する手段と、
前記レイヤの全てのコンテンツの符号化パケットが送信されていない場合、前記最初の判定手段による処理に進む手段と、
を更に含む請求項9記載の装置。 - タイムスロットのインデックスを初期化する手段と、
レイヤのインデックスを初期化する手段と、
を更に含む請求項10記載の装置。 - 前記レイヤのインデックスが最上位のレイヤのインデックスである場合、前記タイムスロットのインデックスをインクリメントする手段と、
前記レイヤのインデックスを再初期化する手段と、
を更に含む請求項11記載の装置。 - 前記リソースは帯域制限されている、
