さらに、賦活剤として水蒸気や燃焼排ガス、炭酸ガスあるいはアルカリなどを用いる必要がないため、エネルギーコスト、設備コストを大幅に低減することができる。
水分30%の鶏糞100gを炭化炉に入れ、窒素雰囲気中で900℃にて10分間炭化した。得られた鶏糞炭化物は31gであり、その比表面積は34m2/gであった。この鶏糞炭化物20gを1000mlフラスコに入れ、濃塩酸を水で希釈して1.5Nとした塩酸800mlを加えて混合し、常温にて2時間攪拌した。
<実施例2>
実施例1と同様にして得られた鶏糞炭化物20gを1000mlフラスコに入れ、0.3Nの塩酸800mlを加えて混合し、常温にて3時間攪拌した。このときの塩酸中の塩素量は、鶏糞炭化物中のカルシウム1質量部に対して1質量部に調整されている。塩酸による混合攪拌処理後、混合液をろ紙を使用してろ過し、ろ紙上に鶏糞炭化物を得た。該炭化物を1回に800mlの蒸留水で3回洗浄、ろ過を繰り返し、鶏糞からの活性炭を製造した。この活性炭の、比表面積は890m2/gであり、市販の活性炭に比較して遜色のない特性値を示した。
Claims (6)
- 鶏糞炭化物を酸処理することを特徴とする活性炭製造方法。
- 少なくとも、以下の工程、
A) 鶏糞または鶏糞由来物を加熱処理して、鶏糞炭化物を生成する工程、
B) 前記工程A)で生成された鶏糞炭化物を酸処理する工程、
を含むことを特徴とする活性炭製造方法。 - 酸処理は、酸又は酸水溶液中で鶏糞炭化物を混合攪拌する処理であることを特徴とする請求項1または2の活性炭製造方法。
- 酸処理は、塩酸で処理することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかの活性炭製造方法。
- 塩酸中の塩素の量が、鶏糞炭化物中に存在するカルシウム1質量部に対し、0.5質量部から6質量部であることを特徴とする請求項4の活性炭製造方法。
- 酸処理における酸の濃度が0.1〜5Nであることを特徴とする請求項1または2の活性炭製造方法。
