Description
本発明は、望ましくない汚染生物が、水、特に海水に接する浸漬された構造物に付着し成長することを防止する繊維被覆海洋材料に関する。本発明は、また、そのような繊維被覆海洋材料の調製と防汚性海洋構築物を作製するために適用される繊維被覆シートに関する。
海水及び/又は淡水にさらされる水面下の構造物と船体については、海洋性生物の付着と成長は、摩擦の増加とそれによる燃料消費の増加若しくは波或いは水流に対する抵抗の増加(海洋リグのような静止構造物)が原因でまた可能な稼働時間の減少が原因で、重大な経済的損失を引き起こす。船の伝統的な主要ユーザーは、例えば、銅或いはトリブチル錫、錫系化合物を含む塗料で船体を塗装することによって、汚染に耐えることを試みてきた。これら塗料は、高毒性であり、毒性物質が水中に浸出し、海洋生命体を殺傷する。
殺生物材料を全く必要とせず、改善された防汚性を有する繊維被覆海洋材料を提供することが本発明の目的であり、繊維被覆材料は、あらゆる種類の微生物が水中の海洋構築物に定着することを防止する。
30×20cm2のPVCパネルが、耐水性ポリウレタングルーを接着剤として使用して棘で被覆されたが、数種の異なる型の棘が、ポリアミド(長さ>3mm、太さ>60μmm)から、20棘/mm2の密度で作製された。静電フロック加工が適用のために使用された。グルーの硬化後、PVCパネルは、10ヶ月間海水にさらされた。普通のPVCパネルも同様にさらされた。上記棘を有する材料は全て汚損のないままであった。上記棘のないパネルは、ムール貝、フジツボ及び藻類で汚損された。
30×20cm2のPVCパネルが、耐水生ポリウレタンを接着剤として使用して棘で被覆されたが、数種の異なる型の棘が、ポリアミド(長さ0.5mm及び2mm、太さ<60μmm)から、20棘/mm2の密度で作製された。静電フロック加工が適用のために使用された。グルーの硬化後、PVCパネルは、10ヶ月間海水にさらされた。上記棘を有する材料は全て、ムール貝、フジツボ及び藻類で汚損された。
Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umweltにより資金提供された研究プロジェクトにおいて、2003年11月の殺生物剤不要の防汚性被覆性能に関する国際シンポジウム、展望と規制で紹介された「揺らぐ」繊維が汚損を阻止するために使用された。繊維長は、1.0mm及び1.2mmで、繊維密度は、200繊維/mm2であった。しばらくすると、硬汚損物(例えば、フジツボ)が70%の被覆率に達する、100%の汚損被覆率に達し、「揺らぎ」運動を示す細い繊維は汚損に対して有効でないことを示した。
六角メッシュを有する柔軟な結び目のない網、ナイロンとジネーマ(dyneema)から作製された20×20cm2サイズの試料及びPVCから作製された正方形メッシュを有する硬い網材料の20×20cm2の試料が、耐水性ポリウレタングルーを接着剤として棘で被覆されたが、棘は、ポリアミド(長さ>3mm、太さ>60μmm)から、20棘/mm2の密度で作製された。静電フロック加工が適用のために使用された。接着剤の硬化後、網試料は、上記棘のない参照試料と共に、8ヶ月間海水にさらされた。棘を有する材料は全て汚損のないままであったが、参照網材料は、藻類、ヒドロ虫類及びほや類のような柔汚損物及びでムール貝及びフジツボのような硬汚損物で汚損された。
Claims (11)
- 防汚性を有する繊維被覆海洋材料であって、前記海洋材料の少なくとも一部は、60〜150μmの太さと3〜30mmの繊維長を有する繊維のパイルによって被覆され、前記繊維の長さ対太さの比は、0.015〜0.040であり、前記繊維のパイルは、10〜40繊維/mm2 の密度を有する、繊維被覆海洋材料。
- 前記太さが、70〜150μmである、請求項1記載の繊維被覆海洋材料。
- 前記長さが、3〜10mmである、請求項1または2記載の繊維被覆海洋材料。
- 前記繊維の長さ対太さの比は、0.015〜0.025である、請求項1〜3何れか1項記載の繊維被覆海洋材料。
- 繊維が、随意に変性されたポリアルキレンからなる、請求項1〜4何れか1項記載の繊維被覆海洋材料。
- 生物活性剤を含まない、請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の繊維被覆海洋材料。
- 生物活性剤が適用される、請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の繊維被覆海洋材料。
- 60〜150μmの太さに加えて3〜30mmの繊維長を有する繊維のパイルを有する海洋材料を準備することを包含する防汚性表層を有する海洋材料の製造方法であって、前記繊維の長さ対太さの比は0.015〜0.040であり、前記繊維のパイルは、10〜40繊維/mm2 の密度を有する方法。
- 耐水性接着剤が、接着層を形成するために、海洋材料に先ず適用され、その後前記繊維が静電的に荷電され前記接着層と接触状態にされる、請求項8記載の方法。
- 防汚性を有する海洋材料を得るために適する繊維被覆シートであって、前記シートは、基体部と、60〜150の太さに加えて3〜30mmの繊維長を有する繊維のパイルであって、前記繊維の長さ対太さの比は、0.015〜0.040であり、前記繊維のパイルは、10〜40繊維/mm2 の密度を有する繊維のパイルとを含む、繊維被覆シート。
- 前記基体部は、ポリマー材料の箔から作製される、請求項10記載の繊維被覆シート。
