Description
水平システムにおいて、静磁場(Bo)は、被検体が横たわる状態で人体と平行である方向に発生される。オープン・システムにおいて、静磁場は、横たわっている人体と直交する方向に発生される。オープンMRIシステムにより、より体格の大きな個人を撮像することが可能となり、これら体格の大きな個人のMRI末梢血管検査を行うことを含む。しかしながら、公知のオープンMRIシステムは、PV検査を行うことはできない。更に、全身コイルをPV検査用に使用することができるが、こうした検査から得られる画像の分解能は許容できないことが多く、これにより、例えば適正な診断が不可能になる。

Claims (7)
- 末梢血管コイル(50)を有して末梢血管イメージングを行うオープン磁気共鳴イメージング・システムにおいて、
前記末梢血管コイル(50)が、
複数のコイル素子を有するベースコイルセクション(52)と、
各々が複数のコイル素子を有する複数のコイルセクション、
とを具備し、
前記複数のコイルセクションの各々は、
前記ベースコイルセクション(52)に取り外し自在に取り付けられるように構成され、また、
不均一な逆回転コイル素子と共回転2巻きソレノイド・コイル素子とサドル・コイル素子の少なくとも1つを含み、
前記ベースコイルセクション及び複数のコイルセクションが、共に複数のイメージングステーション(92,94,96,98)を形成し、
前記複数のイメージング・ステーションの少なくとも3つが、不均一な逆回転アレイで構成されるコイル素子(62,70,78)を備えることを特徴とするオープン磁気共鳴イメージング・システム。 - 前記複数のイメージングステーションの各々が、2つのサドル・コイル素子を含む請求項1に記載のオープン磁気共鳴イメージング・システム。
- 前記複数のイメージングステーションは、
(i)後ベースセクション(52)、
(ii)複数の前セクション(54,56,58)、
(iii)つま先セクション(60)により形成され、
前記複数の前セクション(54,56,58)の各々と前記つま先セクションとが前記後ベースセクション(52)に取り外し自在に取り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオープン磁気共鳴イメージング・システム。 - 前記複数のイメージングステーション(92,94,96,98)の各々が、少なくとも1つの前サドル・コイル(66,74,82,88)及び1つの後サドル・コイル(68,76,84,90)を含む請求項3に記載のオープン磁気共鳴イメージング・システム。
- オープン磁気共鳴イメージング・システムを用いて末梢血管イメージングを行なう方法であって、
コイルセクションを取り外し自在に取り付けて前記複数のイメージング・ステーションを形成するための接続システムを準備する段階と、
前記複数のイメージングステーションを、各々のステーションが、不均一な逆回転コイル素子と共回転2巻きソレノイド・コイル素子とサドル・コイル素子のうちの少なくとも1つの素子を有するように、構成する段階、
とを含み、更に2方向におけるSENSEイメージングを行うように前記複数のイメージング・ステーションを構成する段階を含む方法。 - 前記複数のイメージング・ステーションのうちの3つ(92,94,96)が2つのサドル・コイル素子及び2つのソレノイド・コイル素子を含み、
前記複数のイメージング・ステーションのうちの1つ(98)が2つのサドル・コイル素子及び1つのソレノイド・コイル素子を含むことを特徴とする請求項5の方法。 - 前記複数のイメージング・ステーションが、少なくとも1つのベースセクション(52)、1つのつま先セクション(60)、及び複数の上部セクション(54,56,58)を含む請求項5または6に記載の方法。
