Claims (2)
- 各気筒に吸気を分配する複数のブランチ部がコレクタ部に並列に接続され、隣接するブランチ部同士が連結壁により連結されたインテークマニホールド本体部を有する内燃機関のインテークマニホールドであって、
上記インテークマニホールド本体部の外表面に固着されたレゾネータボディ部材とインテークマニホールド本体部の外表面との間に形成された空間に、ヘルムホルツ型のレゾネータが形成された内燃機関のインテークマニホールドにおいて、
上記各ブランチ部の内部には、ブランチ通路がそれぞれ形成され、上記ブランチ部の厚みが上記連結壁の厚みに比べて相対的に厚く、インテークマニホールド本体部の外表面は、上記ブランチ部の部分を山部とし、上記連結壁の部分を谷部とする波形状に形成され、
上記レゾネータは、上記レゾネータボディ部材と上記インテークマニホールド本体部の外表面とに連結された互い対向する一対のレゾネータ首部壁の間に形成された細長いレゾネータ首部通路を有するレゾネータ首部と、上記レゾネータ首部通路を介して上記コレクタ部に連通するレゾネータ容積室と、を有し、
上記レゾネータ首部は、複数のブランチ部のいずれか1つのブランチ部上に位置し、このブランチ部に沿って延びるよう形成されていると共に、上記レゾネータ首部通路を上記レゾネータ首部内で蛇行させる仕切壁を有し、上記レゾネータ首部通路の通路長が上記レゾネータ首部の長さ寸法よりも長くなるよう形成されていることを特徴とする内燃機関のインテークマニホールド。 - 上記レゾネータ首部壁は、上記インテークマニホールド本体部の外表面から突出した本体部側壁部と、レゾネータボディ部材から突出したレゾネータ側壁部と、を突き合わせて両者の先端を振動溶着により接合することで形成され、上記一対のレゾネータ首部壁のうち、上記空間内に位置するレゾネータ首部壁は、振動溶着される部分の幅が、上記レゾネータボディ部材の外周壁と、上記インテークマニホールド本体部の外表面との接合部分の幅よりも小さくなるよう設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関のインテークマニホールド。
