Claims (8)
- 吸気バルブのリフト特性を変更可能な可変動弁機構と、
点火時期を変更可能な点火時期制御手段と、を備え、
クランキング期間を含むエンジン始動後の所定期間である第1期間中は、
吸気バルブ開時期を暖機終了後アイドル運転時より遅角側に設定し、
前記吸気バルブのリフト量を暖機終了後アイドル運転時より小さく設定し、
前記エンジン始動時の完爆後の点火時期を暖機終了後アイドル運転時より遅角側に設定し、
前記第1期間終了後には、
前記吸気バルブ開時期を排気バルブ閉時期より進角側かつ前記暖機終了後アイドル運転時の吸気バルブ開時期より進角側に設定し、
吸気バルブ閉時期を下死点近傍に設定し、
点火時期を暖機終了後アイドル運転時より遅角側に設定することを特徴とするエンジンの制御装置。 - クランキング開始時の冷却水温に応じて前記第1期間の終期を設定する請求項1に記載のエンジンの制御装置。
- 前記エンジンの冷却水温を検出する水温検出手段と、
前記エンジンの運転時間を検出する運転時間検出手段と、を備え、
クランキング開始時の冷却水温と運転時間とに基づいて前記吸気バルブの温度を推定し、
前記吸気バルブの温度が所定温度に達したときを前記第1期間の終期とする請求項1に記載のエンジンの制御装置。 - 前記第1期間終期からの所定期間を第2期間とし、
前記第1期間の吸気バルブ閉時期を前記第2期間の吸気バルブ閉時期より進角側に設定し、
前記第1期間が終了したら前記可変動弁機構により前記吸気バルブの作動角を拡大することによって前記第1期間の吸気バルブ閉時期から前記第2期間の吸気バルブ閉時期へと変化させ、その後で吸気バルブ閉時期を固定しつつ前記作動角を拡大することによって前記第1期間の吸気バルブ開時期から前記第2期間の吸気バルブ開時期へと変化させる請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載のエンジンの制御装置。 - 前記エンジンの排気通路に排気の空燃比を検出する空燃比検出手段を設け、
前記空燃比検出手段が活性化したときを前記第2期間の終期、前記第2期間終期から前記エンジンの暖機終了までを第3期間として、
前記第3期間中は、吸気バルブ開時期を前記第2期間中の吸気バルブ開時期よりも遅角側に設定し、
吸気バルブ閉時期を下死点近傍に設定し、
点火時期を前記第1期間及び第2期間の点火時期より遅角側に設定する請求項4に記載のエンジンの制御装置。 - エンジン始動時の冷却水温度が所定温度以上の場合には、前記第2期間中の吸気バルブ開時期および吸気バルブ閉時期及び点火時期を、前記第3期間中の吸気バルブ開時期及び吸気バルブ閉時期及び点火時期と同等の値に設定する請求項5に記載のエンジンの制御装置。
- 前記エンジンに流入する空気量を調節する手段として電子制御スロットル弁を備え、
前記第1期間から第2期間及び第2期間から第3期間への移行に応じてバルブ特性及び点火時期を変更する際に、前記変更による出力の変化を抑制する方向に前記電子制御スロットル弁の開度を制御する請求項5または6に記載のエンジンの制御装置。 - 前記第1期間の終期は、前記吸気バルブ通過時の吸気流速を高める方法よりもオーバーラップ量を拡大する方法の方が、排気性能の悪化防止に対して効果的になるタイミングである請求項1から請求項7のいずれかに記載のエンジンの制御装置。
