Claims (4)
- 電解質をアノード電極とカソード電極とで挟んで構成される複数の電解質・電極接合体と、セパレータとが交互に積層されるとともに、各電解質・電極接合体に対応して各アノード電極と一方のセパレータとの間に燃料ガスを流通させる複数の燃料ガス通路が形成され、各電解質・電極接合体に対応して各カソード電極と他方のセパレータとの間に酸化剤ガスを流通させる複数の酸化剤ガス通路が形成される燃料電池であって、
前記セパレータは、各燃料ガス通路及び各酸化剤ガス通路を形成し、各電解質・電極接合体を挟持する複数の互いに分離した挟持部と、
前記セパレータの中央部に設けられ、使用前の燃料ガスを前記セパレータの積層方向に沿って供給するための燃料ガス供給部と、
前記燃料ガス供給部から放射状に分岐して前記挟持部に連結されるとともに、各燃料ガス通路に連通する燃料ガス供給通路を形成する複数の互いに分離した通路部材と、
を有し、
前記燃料電池は、前記積層方向に締め付け荷重を付与する締め付け荷重付与機構を備え、前記締め付け荷重付与機構は、前記燃料ガス供給部の近傍に付与される積層方向の荷重が、前記挟持部に付与される積層方向の荷重よりも大きく設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記電解質・電極接合体で反応に使用された後の燃料ガス及び酸化剤ガスを、排ガスとして前記電解質・電極接合体と前記セパレータとの積層方向に排出する排ガス通路を備え、
前記排ガス通路は、互いに隣接する前記通路部材同士の間に設けられるとともに、
前記燃料ガス供給通路は、前記排ガス通路を前記積層方向に交差するセパレータ面方向に横切って配置されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池において、前記セパレータは、1枚のプレートで構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 電解質をアノード電極とカソード電極とで挟んで構成される複数の電解質・電極接合体が一対のセパレータ間に配設される燃料電池を備え、前記燃料電池が複数積層されるとともに、各電解質・電極接合体に対応して各アノード電極と一方のセパレータとの間に燃料ガスを流通させる複数の燃料ガス通路が形成され、各電解質・電極接合体に対応して各カソード電極と他方のセパレータとの間に酸化剤ガスを流通させる複数の酸化剤ガス通路が形成される燃料電池スタックであって、
前記セパレータは、各燃料ガス通路及び各酸化剤ガス通路を形成し、各電解質・電極接合体を挟持する複数の互いに分離した挟持部と、
前記セパレータの中央部に設けられ、使用前の燃料ガスを前記セパレータの積層方向に沿って供給するための燃料ガス供給部と、
前記燃料ガス供給部から放射状に分岐して前記挟持部に連結されるとともに、各燃料ガス通路に連通する燃料ガス供給通路を形成する複数の互いに分離した通路部材と、
を有し、
前記燃料電池スタックは、複数積層される前記燃料電池に対し、積層方向に締め付け荷重を付与する締め付け荷重付与機構を備え、前記締め付け荷重付与機構は、前記燃料ガス供給部の近傍に付与される積層方向の荷重が、前記電解質・電極接合体が配設される前記燃料電池の外周部に付与される積層方向の荷重よりも大きく設定されることを特徴とする燃料電池スタック。
