Description
Claims (2)
- レーダにより物体を検出するレーダ検出手段と、
画像により物体を検出する画像検出手段と、
前記レーダ検出手段による検出結果と前記画像検出手段による検出結果とを照合し、前記2つの検出手段で同一の物体を検出しているか否かを判断する照合手段と
を備え、
前記照合手段は、前回の照合において前記2つの検出手段で同一の物体を検出していると判断している場合、今回の照合において、前記レーダ検出手段で今回検出された物体と前記前回の照合において2つの検出手段で検出されたと判断された物体とを照合するとともに、前記画像検出手段で今回検出された物体と前記前回の照合において2つの検出手段で検出されたと判断された物体とを照合し、当該前回の照合結果を利用した2つの照合結果に基づいて前記2つの検出手段で同一の物体を今回の照合において検出しているか否かを判断することを特徴とする物体検出装置。 - 前記照合手段は、前記今回の照合において前回の照合結果を利用した照合により2つの検出手段で検出されたと判断された物体を除いて前記レーダ検出手段で今回検出された物体と前記画像検出手段で今回検出された物体とを照合し、前記2つの検出手段で同一の物体を検出しているか否かを判断することを特徴とする請求項1に記載する物体検出装置。
