Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a magnetic tape cartridge, and in particular, in a magnetic tape cartridge in which a single reel wound with a magnetic tape is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case, the reel is in a rotation-restrained state when not in use. The present invention relates to the structure of the rotation stopping means.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a magnetic tape cartridge used as a recording medium used in an external storage device such as a computer is of a type in which a magnetic tape is wound around a single reel and the reel is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case. Things are known. This magnetic tape is used for data storage in computers, etc., and stores important information, so that troubles such as tape jamming do not occur and the magnetic tape is pulled carelessly when not in use, such as during storage. Reel rotation stopping means for restricting the rotation of the reel is provided so as not to be released.
[0003]
The reel rotation restraining means includes a restraining member that engages with a part of the reel and restrains its rotation, and when the cartridge is loaded in a drive such as an external storage device, the restraining member is driven to the drive side rotation driving means. The stop state is provided in accordance with the reel chucking operation.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Accordingly, in order to improve the reliability of the operation of the reel rotation stopping means described above and to prevent dust from entering the cartridge case, the reel rotation stopping means is provided with a stopping member for restricting the rotation of the reel, and the stopping member. It is conceivable to provide a structure that is separated into an urging member that urges in the restraining direction and a release member that moves in accordance with the chucking operation of the drive side rotational drive means and moves the restraining member in the releasing direction.
[0005]
In other words, in a non-use state, the restraining member restrains the reel from inadvertently rotating so that the magnetic tape is not pulled out. When chucking is performed, the release member moves in conjunction with the operation, and the stop member is released. In this state, the reel can rotate, and the magnetic tape can be pulled out and taken up.
[0006]
In the mechanism as described above, the restraining member moves toward and away from the reel as a rotating body and engages with a part of the reel to restrain the rotation. It is difficult to make contact with the reel evenly at the restraining portion on the outer peripheral side by moving it in parallel while holding it in alignment. Further, if the center position of the stopping member is shifted, there is a possibility that the releasing operation by the releasing member is shifted and acts so that it is impossible to reliably release the stopped state of the reel.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a magnetic tape cartridge in which the center position of the restraining member of the reel rotation restraining means is regulated so as to obtain a reliable releasing action.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The magnetic tape cartridge of the present invention that has solved the above-described problem is a single reel on which a magnetic tape is wound is rotatably accommodated in a cartridge case, the reel is allowed to rotate when in use, and the reel is not used when not in use. The reel rotation restraining means includes a restraining member that moves so as to come into contact with and separate from the reel and restrains the rotation of the reel, and the restraining member in the restraining direction. includes a biasing member for biasing, and a release member for moving said restraining member to move in response to chucking operation of drive-side rotation drive means to rotate integrally with the reel releasing direction, wherein the stop member , and restraining gear meshing of the reel which is inclined conically with respect to the rotational center line with the restraining gear by bevel gear to stop rotation of the reels, the release member the stop portion The reel and a vertically movable integrally with the reel being interposed between, the release member and the stop member is characterized in that the sliding contact through the spherical projection of the central part and is there.
[0009]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention as described above, the stop state is provided by the stop member being provided so as to be engaged with the stop gear by the bevel gear inclined conically with respect to the rotation center with respect to the reel to stop the rotation. The stop member is centered by the inclination of the stop gear so that the center position coincides with the rotation center of the reel, so that a reliable stop state is obtained and the entire reel is evenly applied to the release operation by the release member. It is possible to move to a released state away from the reel, and to ensure operation reliability of the reel rotation stopping means.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on embodiments shown in the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the magnetic tape cartridge in this embodiment when not in use, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the main part, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the main part in the used state.
[0011]
The magnetic tape cartridge 1 is a cartridge case in which a magnetic tape (not shown) is wound around a single reel 2, and an upper case 31 and a lower case 32 provided with an opening 32a at the center are fastened by screws or the like. 3, the reel 2 is accommodated in a rotatable manner. The magnetic tape cartridge 1 further includes reel rotation restraining means 10 that allows the reel 2 to rotate when in use and restrains the rotation of the reel 2 when not in use.
[0012]
The reel 2 has a bottomed cylindrical reel hub 21 on which a magnetic tape is wound on the outer periphery, and a lower flange portion 22 and an upper flange portion 23 that project from the outer periphery of the upper and lower ends of the reel hub 21 in a disk shape in the radial direction. The reel hub 21 and the lower flange portion 22 are integrally formed of synthetic resin, and are joined to the upper flange portion 23 by, for example, ultrasonic welding. The lower part of the reel hub 21 is closed at the center by a bottom wall 21a, and a reel gear 24 for rotationally driving the reel 2 is formed in an annular shape on the outer periphery of the lower surface of the bottom wall 21a. A reel plate 25 made of an annular metal plate for suction is attached. The reel gear 24 and the reel plate 25 of the reel 2 are arranged so as to face the opening 32 a on the bottom surface of the cartridge case 3. The reel 2 is biased downward by a biasing member 5 described later.
[0013]
Further, the drive side rotation drive means 11 includes an annular drive gear 13 and a magnet (not shown) on the upper end surface of the rotation shaft 12, and its chucking operation is performed with respect to the loaded magnetic tape cartridge 1. 12, the drive gear 13 meshes with the reel gear 24, and the reel plate 25 is attracted by a magnet to maintain the meshed state.
[0014]
Next, the mechanism of the reel rotation stopping means 10 will be described. The reel rotation restraining means 10 includes a restraining member 4 that moves up and down so as to be able to contact and separate from the reel 2, a biasing member 5 that biases the restraining member 4 in the restraining direction, and the restraining member 4. And a release member 6 that moves in the release direction.
[0015]
In the bottom wall 21a of the reel 2, three insertion holes 26 penetrating the reel gear 24 in the vertical direction are arranged at equal intervals on the circumference, and a reel hub is provided on the outer periphery of the bottom wall 21a. An internal tooth-like stop gear 27 is engraved obliquely with respect to the cylindrical surface 21. The restraining gear 27 has a conical surface whose meshing surface (engagement surface) is inclined downward with respect to the rotation center line of the reel 2. The stopping gear 27 is notched at a portion where the insertion hole 26 is opened, and an arm portion 62 of the release member 6 described later can be moved up and down. The reel 2 shown in FIG. 2 is shown in a state where only the bottom wall 21a is cut off.
[0016]
The restraining member 4 has a substantially disc shape and is disposed in the reel hub 21 of the reel 2 so as to face the bottom wall 21a. A restraining gear 41 is engraved in the form of an external bevel gear on the outer periphery of the lower surface. The restraining gear 41 can mesh with the restraining gear 27 of the reel 2. In addition, a straight vertical wall-shaped protrusion 42 is formed on the upper surface of the restraining member 4 so as to extend upward, and the protrusion 42 is formed in a vertical direction in a guide portion 31 a erected on the inner surface of the upper case 31 of the cartridge case 3. The restraining member 4 is installed in a linear sliding groove extending in a manner such that the restraining member 4 is non-rotatably controlled so as to be movable toward and away from the bottom wall 21a of the reel 2 without rotating. The sliding grooves of the protrusion 42 and the guide portion 31a may be provided in a cross shape.
[0017]
Further, a biasing member 5 by a coil spring is mounted between the upper surface on the outer peripheral side of the protrusion 42 of the restraining member 4 and the inner surface of the outer peripheral side of the guide portion 31a of the upper case 31, and the restraining member 4 is moved downward. The stopping gear 41 and the stopping gear 27 of the reel 2 are biased in the stopping direction.
[0018]
The release member 6 is interposed between the restraining member 4 and the bottom wall 21a of the reel hub 21 so as to be vertically movable, and arm portions 62 extend in the radial direction at three locations on the outer periphery of the central disk portion 61. A rectangular bar-shaped push-up portion 63 is formed on the lower surface of the distal end of the arm portion 62 so as to extend in the vertical direction. Each push-up portion 63 is inserted into an insertion hole 26 opened in the reel hub 21 so as to be able to move in and out, and a tip thereof is positioned facing a tooth portion of the reel gear 24 on the lower surface of the reel hub 21.
[0019]
When the release member 6 is in the lowest lowered position (FIG. 1), the lower end surface of the push-up portion 63 is substantially the tooth tip position of the reel gear 24, and the drive gear 13 is driven by the chucking operation of the drive side rotational drive means 11 on the reel gear 24. The release member 6 is pressed in accordance with the engagement of the two and is pushed up by a predetermined stroke amount (FIG. 3). Further, the release member 6 rotates integrally with the reel 2 by fitting the push-up portion 63 into the insertion hole 26.
[0020]
The restraining member 4 is urged by the urging member 5 so that the lower surface of the restraining member 4 is in contact with the upper surface of the release member 6, and both of them protrude from the center of the release member 6. The sliding contact is made through the projection 64. The tip of the spherical protrusion 64 is in contact with the center of a curved concave portion provided at the center of the lower surface of the restraining member 4, and rotates in a state where mutual positioning, prevention of displacement, and the like are achieved.
[0021]
In addition, at least one of the restraining member 4 and the release member 6 is made of molybdenum disulfide, polytetrafluoroethylene, graphite (graphite), potassium titanate whisker, silicone (various grades of dimethylpolysiloxane and modified products thereof), etc. The slipperiness may be improved by molding with a synthetic resin containing a lubricant. In addition to the above lubricants, oleic acid amide lubricants, erucic acid amide based lubricants, stearic acid amide based lubricants, bis fatty acid amide based lubricants, nonionic surfactant based lubricants, hydrocarbon based lubricants, fatty acid based lubricants, ester based lubricants Further, a lubricant such as an alcohol-based lubricant or metal soap may be added. Furthermore, synthetic resins include aliphatic polyamides such as PC (polycarbonate), P0M (polyoxymethylene), PPS, nylon 6 or nylon 66, aromatic polyamide, ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, isotactic polypropylene, and syndiotactic. It is preferable to use a resin with excellent wear resistance having an imide group such as polystyrene, polyimide, polyamideimide or polyetherimide. As a result, the friction and wear of both sliding contact portions are reduced, and the reel can be stably rotated by reducing the driving resistance, and the generation of wear powder is suppressed to ensure the reliability of the recording / reproducing performance. It is Ru can.
[0022]
The operation of the reel rotation restraining means 10 will be described. FIG. 1 shows a state in which the magnetic tape cartridge 1 is not used, such as a storage state. In this state, the restraining member 4 and the release member 6 are urged by the urging force of the urging member 5. The reel 2 has moved to the lower case 32 side of the cartridge case 3, and the opening 32 a at the center of the lower case 32 is closed by the reel 2. The release member 6 is in the lowest lowered state in which the lower surface is in contact with the upper surface of the bottom wall 21 a of the reel hub 21, and the push-up portion 63 protrudes so that the tip portion coincides with the tooth tip position of the reel gear 24. The restraining member 4 that is in contact with the upper surface is also in the lowered position, and the restraining gear 41 and the restraining gear 27 of the reel 2 are engaged to restrain the rotation of the reel 2 when not in use, and the magnetic tape is pulled out. To prevent.
[0023]
In the restrained state, the restraining member 4 is engaged with the restraining gear 41 of the reel 2 in a state of being pressed against the restraining gear 27 of the reel 2 by the urging member 5, so that the restraining member 4 is centered. Then, the center position is regulated so as to coincide with the rotation center of the reel 2, and the meshing state is uniform over the entire circumference, thereby reliably preventing rotation.
[0024]
On the other hand, when the cartridge of FIG. 3 in which the magnetic tape cartridge 1 is loaded in the drive is used, the rotation shaft 12 of the drive side rotation drive means 11 approaches the bottom surface of the reel 2, and the drive gear 13 is moved to the reel gear 24 by the chucking operation. When the reel 2 is moved slightly upward and held, the tooth tip of the drive gear 13 comes into contact with the center of the tip of the push-up portion 63 of the release member 6 and presses and pushes it up. Accordingly, the release member 6 moves upward against the urging force of the urging member 5, and the stop member 4 also moves in the upward release direction together with the release member 6. As a result, the engagement between the restraining gear 41 of the restraining member 4 and the restraining gear 27 of the reel 2 is released, and the reel 2 can be rotated. Then, the magnetic tape is pulled out or taken up by the drive of the recording / reproducing apparatus.
[0025]
At the time of the release operation, the stop member 4 is centered, so that the stop member 4 rises in parallel to the push-up through the spherical protrusion 64 at the center of the release member 6 and is evenly distributed over the entire circumference. By moving, the engagement between the stopping gear 41 and the stopping gear 27 can be reliably released over the entire circumference.
[0026]
Na us, the number of interpolation hole 26 and the pressing portion 63 may be disposed three or more. Further, the push-up portion 63 is not limited to a square bar shape, and may be a round bar shape.
