Abstract

Description

This invention relates to a green fork with golf markers.

Golf markers are used to mark the location of a golf ball to be picked up. Greens forks are also used to repair dents (called pitch marks, ball marks, etc.) that occur when a ball falls on the green. Greens forks are also called ball mark repair tools or divot repair tools. A tool that functions as both a golf marker and a greens fork (hereinafter referred to as a greens fork with a golf marker) is disclosed, for example, in Patent Document 1 below.

The green fork with golf marker 1 according to one embodiment is generally plate-shaped, and has a golf marker portion 2 with a notch 3 cut into a portion of the disk in an arc shape. The arc 4 of the notch 3 has a shape similar to a portion of the arc on the surface of a golf ball. The golf marker portion 2 may have a polygonal shape other than a circle. In one embodiment, the golf marker portion 2 is smaller than the golf ball.

A strip-shaped extension 5 is formed integral with the golf marker part 2, extending linearly from a position facing the notch 3 across the center position of the golf marker part 2. A claw part 6 is formed at the tip of the extension 5. In one embodiment, the extension 5 is shaped so that its width narrows toward the tip, and the tip serves as the claw part 6 for cultivating grass. The shape of the claw part 6 may be a two-claw configuration with a split tip, or the claw part 6 may be curved upward. The claw part 6 is used to repair dents on the green.

A linear groove 7 is formed that passes through approximately the center of the notch 3 of the golf marker portion 2 and approximately the center of the extension portion 5 in the width direction. In addition, other grooves 8a and 8b that are parallel to groove 7 are formed on both sides of groove 7 in the golf marker portion 2. Groove 7 and grooves 8a, 8b are each colored in a predetermined color. These grooves may be colored in advance by painting them with paint, or they may be colored with an oil-based pen.

The back surface of the surface on which the grooves 7, 8a, and 8b are formed is flat. In one embodiment, the green fork with golf marker 1 is made of metal, for example, and the surface is treated with plating or the like. Materials other than metal, such as synthetic resin, may also be used, or a combination of metal and synthetic resin may also be used.

In one embodiment, the green fork with golf marker 1 is used so that the notch 3 of the golf marker portion 2 is located immediately behind the golf ball 10 on the green, as shown in FIG. 3. In the example shown in FIG. 3, three lines 11, 12a, and 12b are drawn around the golf ball 10 within a range of 180 degrees or 360 degrees. Line 11 is drawn at the position of the diameter of the golf ball 10, and lines 12a and 12b are drawn parallel to line 11 on both sides of line 11. One of the reasons for drawing lines on the golf ball 10 is to improve the directionality of the putt and reduce missed putts by accurately aiming the lines at the target. By ensuring that the direction in which the golf ball is hit is set in the correct direction, the probability of the ball going in the cup can be increased.

In one embodiment, the spacing between the grooves 7, 8a, and 8b formed on the green fork 1 with golf markers is the same as the spacing between the lines 11, 12a, and 12b drawn on the golf ball 10. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, the ball 10 can be replaced so that the groove 7 and the line 11 are approximately in a straight line, the groove 8a and the line 12a are approximately in a straight line, and the groove 8b and the line 12b are approximately in a straight line.

In this way, lines 11, 12a, and 12b are extended, so that the lines are effectively longer, enhancing the effect of the lines. If the corresponding lines and grooves are the same color, the effect of the lines can be further enhanced.

A golf line marker is used to draw lines on the golf ball 10. For example, the lines 11, 12a, and 12b can be drawn using a template-type golf line marker. By matching the specifications of the golf line marker with the spacing values of the grooves 7, 8a, and 8b of the green fork with golf marker 1, the grooves 7, 8a, and 8b can be made to be almost in straight lines with the lines 11, 12a, and 12b, as described above. Furthermore, when placing the green fork with golf marker 1 to pick up the golf ball 10, the grooves 7 can be aligned to indicate the putting line that has been read in advance, thereby increasing the probability of putting in the cup.

The green fork with golf marker according to claim 1 or 2, in which the back side of the surface on which the groove is formed is flat. The green fork with golf markers according to claim 1, in which one or more other grooves are formed parallel to the groove. The green fork with golf markers according to claim 4, in which the grooves are colored a predetermined color. 6. The green fork with golf markers according to claim 4 or 5, wherein the intervals between said grooves and the other grooves are approximately equal to the intervals between a plurality of lines drawn on the surface of a golf ball by a golf line marker.
