化粧料が、クリーム、乳液、ローション、洗顔料、パック等の基礎化粧品、口紅、ファンデーション等のメイクアップ化粧品、ボディーソープ、石鹸等のトイレタリー製品、シャンプー、リンス、整髪料等の頭髪用製品、入浴剤等で、ヒノキ科ネズコ属の植物であるウエスタンレッドシダーの抽出液を配合する化粧料の提案されている（特許文献１参照）。
化粧を落とした後、石鹸や水等により洗顔を行う必要がなく、肌に悪影響を与えることのない化粧落とし用液を提供するために、電気伝導度が５０μＳ／ｃｍ以下の精製水に植物性界面活性剤、アルカリ金属塩、またはアルカリ土類金属塩のいずれかを混合して化粧落とし用液を提供されている（特許文献２参照）。

１日目、洗顔後のシミは余り変わらないが潤いは感じた。
１０日目、洗顔後シミの周りが少し薄くなってぼけてきた。又、肌の色が明るくなってきて、張りを感じた。
２０日目、洗顔後、シミ全体がぼけてきた。肌が明るく張りが出て、化粧の載りが良くなった。
