Abstract
Description
図1は、電池100の斜視図である。図2は、図1のII-II線に沿う模式的な縦断面図である。図4は、図1のIV-IV線に沿う模式的な縦断面図である。図5は、図1のV-V線に沿う模式的な横断面図である。なお、以下の説明において、図面中の符号L、R、F、Rr、U、Dは、左、右、前、後、上、下を表し、図面中の符号X、Y、Zは、電池100の短辺方向、短辺方向と直交する長辺方向(電極体の長手方向ともいう)、上下方向を、それぞれ表すものとする。ただし、これらは説明の便宜上の方向に過ぎず、電池100の設置形態を何ら限定するものではない。
電池100の製造方法は、上記したようなD1>D2を満たす電極体20a、20b、20cを用いることで特徴付けられる。それ以外の製造プロセスは従来同様であってよい。電池100は、上記したような電池ケース10(外装体12および封口板14)と、電極体群20(電極体20a、20b、20c)と、電解液と、正極端子30と、負極端子40と、正極集電部50(正極第1集電部51および正極第2集電部52)と、負極集電部60(負極第1集電部61および負極第2集電部62)と、正極絶縁部材70と、負極絶縁部材80と、を用意し、例えば、第1取付工程と、第2取付工程と、挿入工程と、封口工程と、を含む製造方法によって製造することができる。また、ここに開示される製造方法は、任意の段階でさらに他の工程を含んでもよい。

Claims (7)
- 正極および負極を含む1つまたは複数の電極体と、前記電極体を収容する電池ケースと、を備えた電池であって、
前記電池ケースは、
底壁と、前記底壁から延び相互に対向する一対の第1側壁と、前記底壁から延び相互に対向する一対の第2側壁と、前記底壁に対向する開口部と、を有する外装体と、
前記開口部を封口する封口板と、
を備えており、
前記封口板には、正極端子および負極端子が取り付けられており、
前記電極体は、
前記第1側壁に沿った面方向に存在する第1端部と、前記第1端部から突出した複数の正極タブから構成されており、それぞれのタブがアルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金から構成されている正極タブ群と、
前記第1側壁に沿った面方向に存在する前記第1端部とは異なる第2端部と、前記第2端部から突出した複数の負極タブから構成されており、それぞれのタブが銅または銅合金から構成されている負極タブ群と、
を備えており、
前記正極タブ群を構成する各正極タブの厚みは、前記負極タブ群を構成する各負極タブの厚みよりも大きく、
前記正極タブ群および前記正極端子は、正極集電部を介して電気的に接続されており、
前記正極集電部は、前記正極タブ群の先端部分が、前記第2側壁に沿って配置されるように湾曲した状態で接合された正極タブ接合部を備えており、
前記負極タブ群および前記負極端子は、負極集電部を介して電気的に接続されており、
前記負極集電部は、前記負極タブ群の先端部分が、前記第2側壁に沿って配置されるように湾曲した状態で接合された負極タブ接合部を備えており、
前記面方向における前記第1端部から前記正極タブ接合部に至るまでの間隔の長さをD1、前記面方向における前記第2端部から前記負極タブ接合部に至るまでの間隔の長さをD2としたとき、D1>D2を満たす、電池。 - 前記正極タブ群は、前記正極集電部における前記電極体側の面に接合されており、
前記負極タブ群は、前記負極集電部における前記電極体側の面に接合されている、請求項1に記載の電池。 - 前記正極タブ群を構成する正極タブの枚数は、前記負極タブ群を構成する負極タブの枚数よりも少ない、請求項1または2に記載の電池。
- 前記正極は、長尺な正極集電体と、前記正極集電体における前記長尺方向に沿った複数の箇所に形成された前記正極タブと、を備えており、
前記正極集電体上には正極活物質層が形成されており、前記正極活物質層の端部に沿った部分および前記正極タブ上には正極保護層が形成されており、
前記負極は、長尺な負極集電体と、前記負極集電体における前記長尺方向に沿って複数の箇所に形成された前記負極タブと、を備えており、
前記負極集電体上および前記負極タブ上には負極活物質層が形成されている、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の電池。 - 前記正極タブの突出方向における前記正極保護層の形成部分の長さは、前記負極タブの突出方向における前記負極活物質層の形成部分の長さよりも小さい、請求項4に記載の電池。
- 前記電極体は、一対の平坦外面を備えており、少なくとも前記平坦外面のうち一方の平坦外面から前記正極集電部または前記負極集電部にかけて固定部材が配置されている、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の電池。
- 前記封口板と、前記正極集電部または前記負極集電部と、を絶縁する絶縁部材をさらに備えており、
前記絶縁部材は、
前記封口板と、前記正極集電部または前記負極集電部と、の間に配置されたベース部と、
前記ベース部よりも前記面方向における前記電極体の中央側に設けられ、かつ、前記封口板の側から前記電極体の側に向かって突出する1つまたは複数の突出部と、
を備える、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の電池。
