Abstract
Description

Claims (20)
- 乾燥チャンバと、
前記乾燥チャンバ内にある量の液体を放出するように配置されたスプレーチップ組立体を有する静電スプレーノズルであって、前記静電スプレーノズル組立体に提供されるデューティサイクル信号に基づいて前記ある量の液体を放出するように構成されており、前記デューティサイクル信号は、前記静電スプレーノズルが前記ある量の液体を噴射するために開放される期間を決定する、静電スプレーノズルと、
前記静電スプレーノズルと関連付けられ、前記デューティサイクル信号を前記静電スプレーノズルに提供するように動作するコントローラと
を備える、液体を乾燥させて粉体にするための静電噴霧乾燥システムであって、
前記コントローラは、以下のプロセス、
前記静電スプレー組立体のためのパルス幅変調(PWM)動作モードをアクティブにするアクティブ化工程と、
第1のタイマーを開始する開始工程と、
前記第1のタイマーが第1のパルス期間に達していない間、第1のPWMアクティブ化周波数で第1のデューティサイクル信号を前記静電スプレーノズルに提供する第1の提供工程と、
前記第1のタイマーが前記第1のパルス期間に達したときに第2のタイマーを開始する開始工程と、
前記第2のタイマーが第2のパルス期間に達していない間、第2のPWMアクティブ化周波数で第2のデューティサイクル信号を前記静電スプレーノズルに提供する第2の提供工程と
を実行するようにプログラムされ、動作し、
前記第1の提供工程および前記第2の提供工程により、前記静電スプレーノズルは、様々な程度の凝集をもたらす異なるサイズの噴霧粒子を生成する、静電噴霧乾燥システム。 - 電圧源をさらに含み、前記静電スプレーノズルは、前記電圧源に接続され、前記スプレーチップ組立体を通って前記乾燥チャンバ内に放出される前記ある量の液体を静電帯電させるように構成されており、前記コントローラは、前記電圧源とさらに関連付けられ、前記電圧源の電圧設定点を制御するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、電圧制御動作モードがアクティブでないとき、前記PWM動作モードをアクティブにするようにプログラムされている、請求項2に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、前記電圧制御動作モードをアクティブにし、前記デューティサイクル信号が所定のPWMアクティブ化周波数で維持される間、前記電圧源の前記電圧設定点を制御するようにさらにプログラムされている、請求項3に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 前記第1のPWMアクティブ化周波数は、前記第2のPWMアクティブ化周波数より低い、請求項2に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 前記静電スプレーノズルに提供される前記ある量の液体を噴射圧力まで加圧するように構成されたポンプをさらに備え、前記ポンプは、前記コントローラと関連付けられ、前記コントローラにより提供される圧力信号に応じて前記噴射圧力を設定するように動作し、前記コントローラは、時間と共に前記噴射圧力を選択的に変えるようにさらにプログラムされている、請求項2に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 前記静電スプレーノズルは、前記乾燥チャンバ内に放出される前記液体を霧化するために前記ある量の液体と混ざり合う加圧ガスを受けるように構成されている、請求項2に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- ある量のガスを前記静電スプレーノズルに提供される前記加圧ガスにするように霧化ガス圧力まで圧縮するように構成された圧縮機をさらに備え、前記圧縮機は、前記コントローラと関連付けられ、前記コントローラにより提供されるガス圧力信号に応じて、前記霧化ガス圧力を設定するように動作し、前記コントローラは、前記霧化ガス圧力を選択的に変えるようにさらにプログラムされている、請求項7に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 前記コントローラと関連付けられ、前記コントローラにより提供されるガス温度コマンド信号に応じて、前記加圧ガスを霧化ガス温度まで加熱するように構成されたガスヒータをさらに備え、前記コントローラは、時間と共に前記ガス温度コマンド信号を選択的に変えるようにさらに構成されている、請求項7に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 前記乾燥チャンバを通る乾燥ガスの流れを提供するように構成されたファンをさらに備え、前記乾燥ガスは、乾燥ガス調節モジュールにおいて選択的に決定される含水率及び温度で提供され、前記調節モジュールは、前記コントローラと関連付けられ、前記コントローラから提供される信号に応じて、前記乾燥ガスの流れの前記含水率及び温度を選択的に設定し、前記コントローラは、前記乾燥ガスの流れの前記含水率及び温度の少なくとも一方を選択的に変えるようにプログラムされている、請求項1に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 前記ファンは、ある質量空気流量で前記乾燥ガスの流れを選択的に提供するように構成されており、前記質量空気流量は、前記コントローラからの制御信号に基づいて決定され、前記コントローラは、時間と共に前記質量空気流量を選択的に変えるようにさらにプログラムされている、請求項10に記載の静電スプレーシステム。
- 静電スプレーシステムにおいて凝集物のサイズを制御する方法であって、
液体の流れを乾燥チャンバ内に放出するように構成された静電スプレーを準備することと、
パルス幅変調(PWM)信号を用いて前記静電スプレーをアクティブにすることと、
第1のアクティブ化周波数の第1のデューティサイクルを有する第1のPWM信号の第1の提供と第2のアクティブ化周波数の第2のデューティサイクルを有する第2のPWM信号の第2の提供とを交互させることであって、前記第1のアクティブ化周波数は前記第2のアクティブ化周波数よりも低い、交互させることと、
凝集物を第1のサイズに凝縮させるように、第1の時間にわたり前記第1のPWM信号で前記静電スプレーを動作させることと、
凝集物を第2のサイズに凝縮させるように、第2の時間にわたり前記第2のPWM信号で前記静電スプレーを動作させることと
を含み
前記第1の提供および前記第2の提供により、前記静電スプレーは、様々な程度の凝集をもたらす異なるサイズの噴霧粒子を生成し、
前記第2のサイズは、前記第1のサイズより大きく、
前記凝集物の平均サイズを制御することは、動作中に前記1の時間及び前記2の時間を調節することを含む、方法。 - 電子コントローラが、前記第1及び前記第2のPWM信号を前記静電スプレーに提供するために使用される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記静電スプレーに伝えられる電位を選択的に調整することをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記液体の流れを噴射圧力まで加圧することをさらに含み、前記方法は、時間と共に前記噴射圧力を選択的に変えることをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。

- 前記乾燥チャンバを通して乾燥ガスの流れを提供することをさらに含み、前記乾燥ガスは、ある含水率及び温度で提供され、前記方法は、前記乾燥ガスの流れの前記含水率を変えることをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
