Claims (15)
- 近位端部と、遠位端部と、内部を貫通して延びる管腔とを備える長尺状シャフトと、
前記近位端部と前記遠位端部との間に少なくとも部分的に延びる張力耐性部材と、
前記シャフトの外面に沿って配置され、互いに係合する複数の個別セグメントからなる外骨格と、を備え、
前記個別セグメントの少なくとも1つは、前記張力耐性部材に結合されている、強化された圧縮耐性を備える医療装置。 - 前記複数の個別セグメントは、第1のセグメントと第2のセグメントとを備える、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第1のセグメントと前記第2のセグメントとは、前記シャフトに沿って交互になっている、請求項2に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第1のセグメントは、バレル部材を含む、請求項2または3に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第2のセグメントは、丸みを帯びた近位端と丸みを帯びた遠位端とを有するビーズ部材を含む、請求項2〜4のいずれか一項に記載の医療装置。
- 前記丸みを帯びた近位端と丸みを帯びた遠位端とは、前記ビーズ部材の中心において回転軸を画定する、請求項5に記載の医療装置。
- 前記複数の個別セグメントは、互いに係合して前記シャフトに張力を及ぼす、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の医療装置。

前記内部シャフトの周囲に摺動可能に配置されたシースと、から構成される搬送システム。 - 前記ビーズ部材の少なくともいくつかは、丸みを帯びた近位端と丸みを帯びた遠位端とを備える、請求項10に記載の搬送システム。
- 前記丸みを帯びた近位端と丸みを帯びた遠位端とは、前記ビーズ部材の中心において回転軸を画定する、請求項11に記載の搬送システム。
- 前記複数のビーズ部材と前記複数のバレル部材とは、互いに係合して前記内部シャフトに張力を及ぼす、請求項10〜12のいずれか一項に記載の搬送システム。
