Claims (10)
- 互いに異なる径で設けられた第1トラックおよび第2トラックを備えるスケールと、
前記スケールに対して相対移動可能であり、前記第1トラックおよび前記第2トラックを読み取る第1センサと、
前記スケールの径方向において前記第1センサと対向するように配置され、前記スケールに対して相対移動可能であり、前記第1トラックおよび前記第2トラックを読み取る第2センサと、
前記第1センサが前記第1トラックを読み取ることで得られる信号に基づく第1周期信号と前記第1センサが前記第2トラックを読み取ることで得られる信号に基づく第2周期信号との差分を取ることで第1位置信号を生成するとともに、前記第2センサが前記第1トラックを読み取ることで得られる信号に基づく第3周期信号と前記第2センサが前記第2トラックを読み取ることで得られる信号に基づく第4周期信号との差分を取ることで第2位置信号を生成する処理部と、を有し、
前記処理部は、前記第1位置信号と前記第2位置信号とを平均化することで生成された第3位置信号と前記第1周期信号とを合成することで生成された第4位置信号、および前記第3位置信号と前記第3周期信号とを合成することで生成された第5位置信号を平均化することで、前記スケール、前記第1センサまたは前記第2センサのうち少なくともいずれかの絶対位置を示す絶対位置信号を生成することを特徴とするアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。 - 前記処理部は、前記第1位置信号および前記絶対位置信号を生成する第1の処理部と、前記第2位置信号を生成する第2の処理部と、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。
- 前記処理部は、前記第1位置信号を生成する第1の処理部と、前記第2位置信号を生成する第2の処理部と、前記絶対位置信号を生成する第3の処理部と、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。
- 前記処理部は、整数倍した前記第1周期信号と整数倍した前記第2周期信号との差分を取ることで前記第1位置信号を生成するとともに、整数倍した前記第3周期信号と整数倍した前記第4周期信号との差分を取ることで前記第2位置信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。
- 前記第1トラックは、互いに周期が異なる、第1の周期パターンおよび第2の周期パターンを含み、
前記第2トラックは、前記第1および第2の周期パターンと周期が異なる第3の周期パターンおよび、前記第1から第3の周期パターンと周期が異なる第4の周期パターンを含み、
前記処理部は、前記第1および第2の周期パターンのそれぞれに対応する信号を処理することで前記第1周期信号を生成し、前記第3および前記第4の周期パターンのそれぞれに対応する信号を処理することで前記第2周期信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。 - 前記第1センサおよび第2センサは、検出周期が異なる検出部を備えることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。
- 前記第1および第2センサは、検出周期を切り替え可能な検出部を備えることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。
- 前記第1センサと前記第2センサの対向配置角は、絶対位置の信頼性を表す丸め誤差が閾値を超えない範囲内に設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。
- 前記閾値は、0.4であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダ。
- 回転する可動部と、
前記可動部の回転位置を検出可能な請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュートロータリエンコーダと、を有することを特徴とする装置。
