Abstract
Description
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1における内燃機関10の全体構成を模式的に表した図である。内燃機関10は、圧縮上死点付近で各気筒内に位置する燃料噴射弁18から燃料を噴射し、圧縮自着火により燃焼させる圧縮自着火式エンジン(一例として、ディーゼルエンジン)である。内燃機関10の各気筒の燃焼室12には、吸気通路14と排気通路16とが連通している。
本実施の形態においては、実施の形態1と共通する部分の説明は省略する。

Claims (3)
- 燃焼室内にスワールを発生させる機構と、
吸気弁との干渉を避けるために凹設された面である吸気側バルブリセスおよび排気弁との干渉を避けるために凹設された面である排気側バルブリセスを有するピストンと、
を備える内燃機関において、
前記燃焼室内上面を吸気ポート側から排気ポート側に流れるタンブル流である順タンブル流よりも前記燃焼室内下面を吸気ポート側から排気ポート側に流れるタンブル流である逆タンブル流の方が流量が少ない場合は、前記吸気側バルブリセスを第一バルブリセス、前記排気側バルブリセスを第二バルブリセスとし、
前記順タンブル流よりも前記逆タンブル流の方が流量が多い場合は、前記排気側バルブリセスを第一バルブリセス、前記吸気側バルブリセスを第二バルブリセスとし、
前記ピストンを前記第一バルブリセスとそれと隣り合う前記第二バルブリセスを通るピストンの中心軸と平行な断面に切った場合に、前記第一バルブリセスの方が前記第二バルブリセスよりも前記断面の内側方向が低くなる傾斜角が大きいことを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 2つの吸気ポートを備え、前記吸気ポートはタンジェンシャルポートとヘリカルポートであり、
前記タンジェンシャルポートとヘリカルポートは、順タンブル流よりも逆タンブル流の方が流量が少なくなる形状となっており、
前記タンジェンシャルポートに対応するバルブリセスの方が前記ヘリカルポートに対応するバルブリセスよりも、前記断面の中心方向に傾斜していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の内燃機関。 - 吸気ポート側の前記バルブリセスの少なくとも一つと、排気ポート側の前記バルブリセスの少なくとも一つが平行に設置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1または請求項2の何れかに記載の内燃機関。
