Abstract

To provide an electronic device capable of preventing airtight leak resulting from a gap, occurring when coating the flank of a connector with sealant and when assembling the connector, having the flank coated with sealant, to an enclosure.SOLUTION: Since the profile of a connector attachment part 2a parallel with the xy plane has an L-shaped portion, air at the corner of the connector attachment part 2a is easy to escape. Consequently, even if a sealant 3 is insufficient when fixing a connector 9 to the connector attachment part 2a via the sealant 3, no gap appears at the corner of the connector attachment part 2a, and thereby airtight leak can be prevented. Furthermore, since the profile of a dead air space between the connector 9 and the connector attachment part 2a, to be filled with the sealant 3, in parallel with the xy plane has a key shape, extrusion of the sealant 3 to the outside of an electronic device 1 can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8

Description

The present invention relates to an electronic device.

An electronic device such as an electronic control unit (ECU) of a vehicle has a connector to which a circuit board is connected and a housing that houses the circuit board. In such an electronic device, a part of the connector is exposed to the outside of the casing, and the other part is accommodated in the casing.

Conventionally, in order to provide a waterproof measure for an electronic device, a protrusion is formed on a connector, a groove is formed on a part of the housing (for example, an upper lid), and the protrusion is fixed to the groove via a sealing material and a housing. The other parts (for example, the lower lid) are fixed to the protrusion and the groove through the sealing material (for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).

Japanese Patent Laying-Open No. 2015-2282

In the conventional electronic device, since the cross section of the groove perpendicular to the opening of the connector has a U-shape, when the distance between the needle for applying the sealing material and the groove is large, there is a gap at the corner of the groove. This may cause airtight leakage after the sealing material is cured.

In order to prevent a gap at the corner of the groove from being generated when applying the sealing material to the slope of the connector, it is necessary to place the needle for applying the sealing material as close as possible to the groove. However, when the sealing material application needle is placed close to the groove, the sealing material application needle and the groove may interfere with each other, resulting in equipment damage, groove damage, etc. The distance that the needle can approach the groove is limited, and it is difficult to completely eliminate the gap at the corner of the groove.

Further, by reducing the injection speed of the needle for applying the sealing material when applying the sealing material to the slope of the connector, it is possible to eliminate a gap generated at the corner of the groove. However, when the injection speed of the needle for applying the sealing material is reduced, the time required for attaching the connector to the housing becomes longer, and the surface of the sealing material is hardened while the connector is attached to the housing, and the sticking of the sealing material is reduced. It causes a decline in sex.

Further, when the connector with the sealant applied to the slope is assembled to the housing, the sealant is scraped off the lower part of the connector slope, so that the sealant at the upper part of the connector slope is insufficient and a gap is created. There is a risk of airtight leakage after the material is cured.

An object of the present invention is to provide an electronic device capable of preventing airtight leakage caused by a gap generated when a sealing material is applied to a slope of a connector and when a connector having a sealing material applied to a slope is assembled to a housing. The connector mounting portion includes a mounting portion side protruding portion corresponding to the groove, and includes a portion having a L-shaped cross section perpendicular to the height direction of the housing.

Preferably, the connector has a connector-side protruding portion on a side surface, is formed by the connector-side protruding portion, the groove, and the mounting portion-side protruding portion, and is filled with a sealing material between the connector and the connector mounting portion. The upper lid 2 and the lower lid 8 are made of a metal material such as aluminum die casting, and the sealing material 3 and the sealing material 6 are made of silicone or the like. The upper lid 2 and the lower lid 8 sandwich the connector 9 so that a part of the connector 9 is exposed to the outside and the other part is accommodated in the upper lid 2 together with the circuit board 5. The connector 9 has a groove 9a and a protrusion 9b formed on the side surface.

In FIG. 1, a lower lid 8 for inserting screw holes 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d and screws 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d provided in the circuit board 5 for inserting screws 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d. The screw holes 8a, 8b, 8c, and 8d provided in FIG.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the top lid 2 of FIG. In FIG. 2, the figure which expanded the part A of the upper cover 2, the II end elevation of FIG. 2, and the II-II end elevation of FIG. 2 are shown. The upper lid 2 has a connector attachment portion 2a to which the connector 9 is attached and a groove 2b.

The connector mounting portion 2a is connected to the first portion extending in the x direction in FIG. 1 and each end portion of the first portion, and at a predetermined angle of 90 ° or more and less than 180 ° with respect to the x direction in FIG. Are formed of two second portions that extend while having a protrusion 2a ′ corresponding to the groove 9a. The protruding portion 2a 'is an example of a mounting portion side protruding portion. Accordingly, as shown in the II end view and II-II end view of the upper lid 2 of the connector attachment portion 2a, the cross section has an L shape over the range indicated by α in FIG.

The space between the connector 9 and the connector mounting portion 2 a is filled with the sealing material 3 in order to join the upper lid 2 and the connector 9. The groove 2 b is filled with a sealing material 6 in order to join the upper lid 2 and the lower lid 8. In the present embodiment, the upper lid 2 has seal material reservoirs 2c and 2d at both ends of the connector mounting portion 2a.

3-5 is a figure for demonstrating the process of attaching the connector 9 and the lower cover 8 of FIG. 1 to the upper cover 2 of FIG. In FIG. 3, screw holes 2e, 2f, 2g, and 2h of the upper lid 2 for inserting screws 4a, 4b, 4c, and 4d for fixing the circuit board 5 and a screw 7a for fixing the lower lid 8, respectively. , 7b, 7c, and 7d, screw holes 2i, 2j, 2k, and 2l of the upper lid 2 are shown. When attaching the connector 9 and the lower lid 8 to the upper lid 2, first, as shown in FIG. 3, the sealing material 3 is connected to the connector mounting portion 2 a and the sealing material reservoir portion 2 c by a needle (not shown) for applying the sealing material. Apply to 2d.

After that, as shown in FIG. 4, the connector 9 is moved in the z direction of FIG. 4 and attached to the connector attaching portion 2a. Thereafter, the screws 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d are inserted into the screw holes 2e, 2f, 2g and 2h, respectively.

After that, as shown in FIG. 5, the sealing material 6 is applied to the side surface between the groove 2b and the groove 9a of the connector 9 and the protruding portion 9b with a needle for applying the sealing material. Thereafter, the lower lid 8 is disposed on the upper lid 2 through the sealing material 6, and the screws 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d are inserted into the screw holes 2i, 2j, 2k, 2l, respectively.

6 is a perspective view of an electronic device according to the present invention and an enlarged end view of a part thereof, FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the height direction of the electronic device 1 of FIG. 6, and FIG. FIG. 7 is a partially enlarged view of a sectional view of FIG. 7 and a partially enlarged view thereof. 6 shows an enlarged end view taken along the line III-III in FIG. 6, FIG. 7 shows a sectional view taken along the line IV-IV in FIG. 6, and FIG. 8 shows an enlarged portion B of the sectional view in FIG. The figure which expanded the part C of the figure and FIG. 8 is shown. Further, in the enlarged view of the portion C in FIG. 8, the sealing material 3 is omitted for the sake of clarity, and an L-shaped cross section β represented by dots and a key-shaped space between the connector mounting portion 2a and the connector 9 γ is indicated by diagonal lines. As shown in FIG. 6, the cross section parallel to the yz plane of the first portion of the connector mounting portion 2a includes a portion having an L shape, and between the connector 9 and the first portion of the connector mounting portion 2a. A cross section parallel to the yz plane of the space filled with the sealing material 3 has a key shape. Moreover, as shown in FIG. 8, the cross section (cross-sectional shape perpendicular | vertical to az direction) parallel to xy plane of the said 2nd part of the connector attachment part 2a has L shape. The z direction is an example of the height direction of the housing. Moreover, the cross section parallel to the xy plane of the space filled with the sealing material 3 between the connector 9 and the second portion of the connector mounting portion 2a has a key shape.

According to the present embodiment, since the cross section parallel to the xy plane of the connector mounting portion 2a has an L-shaped portion, the cross section of the groove perpendicular to the opening of the connector is U-shaped at the corner portion. Reduced compared to the case. That is, the number of corners decreases from two to one. Further, since the cross section parallel to the xy plane of the connector mounting portion 2a has an L-shaped portion, the corner of the connector mounting portion 2a is compared with the case where the cross section of the groove perpendicular to the connector opening has a U shape. Air becomes easy to escape. Accordingly, even when the connector 9 is fixed to the connector mounting portion 2a via the sealing material 3, even when the sealing material 3 is insufficient, a gap is not generated at the corner of the connector mounting portion 2a, and airtight leakage can be prevented.

Moreover, since it is not necessary to bring the needle for applying the sealing material close to the seal groove in order to make it difficult for the gap generated at the corner of the connector attachment portion 2a to occur, the process of attaching the connector 9 to the upper lid 2 is not adversely affected.

Further, since it is difficult for the gap generated at the corner of the connector mounting portion 2a to be generated, it is not necessary to reduce the injection speed of the needle for applying the sealing material. .

In addition, since the cross section parallel to the xy plane of the space filled with the sealing material 3 between the connector 9 and the connector mounting portion 2a has a key shape, the sealing material 3 is not projected to the outside of the electronic device 1. Can be prevented.

Further, since the upper lid 2 has the seal material reservoir portions 2c and 2d at both ends of the connector mounting portion 2a, the seal material 3 is not scraped off when the connector 9 is mounted to the connector mounting portion 2a via the seal material 3. The sealing material 3 at both ends of the connector mounting portion 2a is not insufficient. Therefore, a gap is not generated between the sealing material 3 and the sealing material 6 due to the lack of the sealing material 3 at both ends of the connector mounting portion 2a, and airtight leakage can be prevented.
