図20に検査回路40の変形例を示す。図6に示す例では、検査スイッチ41は、対向基板の内側の領域に形成されていたため、検査スイッチ41と端子31間の配線51は、検査ができない領域となる。これに対して、図20の検査回路40では、配線51と検査スイッチ41の接続箇所を対向基板200の重複領域を超えて、端子31の近傍に設けている。これにより、配線51のほぼ全体を検査することが可能となる。
Claims (11)
- 映像信号線を有する表示領域と端子領域を有するTFT基板と、前記表示領域に重複する対向基板とを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記端子領域には、フレキシブル配線基板が接続するための複数の第1の端子部と、検査時に使用される複数の第2の端子部を有し、
検査回路が、平面で視て、前記TFT基板の前記表示領域と前記端子領域との間に形成され、
前記検査回路は、前記映像信号線を前記第1の端子又は第2の端子に接続する複数の切り替え部を有し、
前記検査回路の前記対向基板側の面には、絶縁膜が形成されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記検査回路は、平面で視て、前記対向基板と重複する領域に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記検査回路は、平面で視て、前記対向基板と重複していない前記端子領域に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記絶縁膜は、有機パッシベーション膜或いは無機絶縁膜であること
を特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 平面で視て、前記映像信号線と前記検査回路の間の配線は、隣接する配線間において、異なる層に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2の端子群は前記第1の端子群の両側に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2の端子群は、第1の端子群の両側と、前記第1の端子群の中間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記検査回路は、6個の映像信号線を単位として測定し、前記検査回路の前記第2の端子に接続される検査用信号配線は6本配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 映像信号線を有する表示領域と端子領域を有するTFT基板を有する有機EL表示装置であって、
前記表示領域には、第1の有機絶縁膜の上にアノードが形成され、前記アノードの上に有機EL層が形成され、前記有機EL層の上にカソードが形成され、
前記カソードを覆って無機絶縁膜が形成され、前記無機絶縁膜の上に偏光板が配置されており、
前記端子領域には、フレキシブル配線基板が接続するための複数の第1の端子部と、検査時に使用される複数の第2の端子部を有し、
検査回路が、平面で視て、前記TFT基板の前記表示領域と前記端子領域との間に形成され、
前記検査回路は、前記映像信号線を前記第1の端子又は第2の端子に接続する複数の切り替え部を有し、
前記検査回路の前記偏光板側の面には、前記第1の有機絶縁膜が形成されることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 前記検査回路は、さらに、平面で視て前記無機絶縁膜と重複していることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の有機EL表示装置。
- 前記第1の有機絶縁膜と前記無機絶縁膜の間には、第2の有機絶縁膜が形成され、前記第2の無機絶縁膜は、平面で視て、前記カソードの周辺と重複していることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の有機EL表示装置。
