Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- 流体を高圧高剪断処理する方法であって、
前記方法は、
第2流体を選択的に収容および放出するための少なくとも1つのアイソレータを設置する工程であって、前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータが、更に、
チャンバの輪郭を定めているアイソレータ壁と、
前記チャンバ内にあり、チャンバの第1端とチャンバの第2端との間を移動可能なセパレータであって、前記セパレータが前記アイソレータ壁に密接(engaging)しており、前記チャンバを、互いに圧力は連通しているが互いに流体連通していない、第1サブチャンバと第2サブチャンバとに更に分割しているセパレータと、
超高圧ポンプおよび前記第1サブチャンバと流体連通している第1サブチャンバ吸入弁と、
前記第1サブチャンバと流体連通している第1サブチャンバ排出弁と、
前記第2サブチャンバと流体連通し、流体を第2サブチャンバへ流入させる第1逆止め弁と、
前記第2サブチャンバと流体連通し、流体を第2サブチャンバから排出する第2逆止め弁と、
を含んでいる工程と、
前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータの第2逆止め弁と流体連通している処理ユニットを設置する工程と、
交互に、第1流体を少なくとも2万psi(約1.4×108Pa)の圧力で前記第1サブチャンバへ送り込み、第2流体を前記第2サブチャンバへ送り込む工程であって、前記第1流体を前記第1サブチャンバに送り込むと、前記第2流体が前記第2サブチャンバから、前記第2逆止め弁を通り、前記処理ユニットを通って放出される工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする、流体を高圧高剪断処理する方法。 - 前記第2流体の温度を、前記第2逆止め弁と流体連通したマニホールド内にある間に制御する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータを設置する工程が、2つのアイソレータを設置する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記の2つのアイソレータのそれぞれから位相をずらして第2流体を放出し、マニホールドを通る第2流体の連続流を作ることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記チャンバの第1端と前記チャンバの第2端に対する前記セパレータの位置を検出する工程と、
位相がずれるように前記の2つのアイソレータを制御する工程と、
を更に含むこと特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記第2流体が前記処理ユニットを通過した後、これを収集する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記処理ユニットの下流に圧力放出弁を設置する工程と、前記圧力放出弁を制御する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2流体が前記圧力放出弁を通過した後、これを冷却する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 高流体剪断処理装置であって、
前記装置が、
第1流体を少なくとも2万psi(約1.4×108Pa)の圧力で圧送することのできる超高圧ポンプと、
第2流体を選択的に収容および放出するための少なくとも1つのアイソレータであって、前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータが、
チャンバの輪郭を定めているアイソレータ壁と、
前記チャンバ内にあり、チャンバの第1端とチャンバの第2端との間を移動可能なセパレータであって、前記セパレータが前記アイソレータ壁に密接しており、前記チャンバを、互いに圧力は連通しているが互いに流体連通していない、第1サブチャンバと第2サブチャンバとに更に分割しているセパレータと、
前記超高圧ポンプおよび前記第1サブチャンバと流体連通している第1サブチャンバ吸入弁と、
前記第1サブチャンバと流体連通している第1サブチャンバ排出弁と、
前記第2サブチャンバと流体連通し、流体を第2サブチャンバへ流入させる第1逆止め弁と、
前記第2サブチャンバと流体連通し、流体を第2サブチャンバから排出する第2逆止め弁と、
を含むアイソレータと、
前記第2逆止め弁と流体連通している処理ユニットと、
を含むことを特徴とする、高流体剪断処理装置。 - 前記処理ユニットがホモジナイジングバルブであることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータが2つのアイソレータを含み、前記の2つのアイソレータが、第1アイソレータが充填されている間に、第2アイソレータから放出されるよう構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータが、前記チャンバの第1端にセパレータが接近したことを検出する第1近接センサと、前記チャンバの第2端にセパレータが接近したことを検出する第2近接センサとを更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記第1逆止め弁と流体連通している低圧移送ポンプを更に含み、前記低圧移送ポンプが、第2流体を前記第1逆止め弁へ圧送するよう構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記第2逆止め弁と流体連通しているマニホールドに接続したマニホールド圧センサを更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記超高圧ポンプに接続したポンプ圧センサを更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記処理ユニットの下流に温度制御区域を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の装置。
- ぞれぞれのアイソレータの前記第2逆止め弁と流体連通している、制御可能な圧力放出弁を更に含み、前記の制御可能な圧力放出弁が、前記処理ユニットの下流にあることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータが、前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータの第2サブチャンバと流体連通しているベントを更に含み、前記ベントが、装置の設置場所での清掃作業ができるよう構成されていることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の装置。
- プロセッサと
前記プロセッサと通信している少なくとも1つの吐出し圧センサであって、前記の少なくとも1つの吐出し圧センサが、前記圧力放出弁での吐出し圧力を測定するよう構成されている吐出し圧センサと、
前記プロセッサと通信している制御装置であって、前記制御装置が、アイソレータの切り替え工程の間、前記圧力放出弁を絞って流量を少なくし、吐出し圧力を一定レベルに保つよう構成されている制御装置と、
を更に含むことを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の装置。 - 前記の少なくとも1つのアイソレータおよび圧力放出弁を、絶縁材および二次加熱装置の少なくとも1つにより、予め選択した温度に保持できることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
