Abstract
Description

Claims (20)
- 物品を作製する方法であって、
複数の層を堆積し、3次元予備成形物を形成するステップと、
前記予備成形物を焼結し、焼結された予備成形物を形成するステップと、
前記焼結された予備成形物を少なくとも1つの金属に浸潤させ、前記物品を形成するステップと、
を含み、前記複数の層の少なくとも1つの層は、ベリリウム粉末を含むベリリウム含有組成物から形成される、方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの金属は、アルミニウム、マグネシウム、およびリチウムから成る群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ベリリウム含有組成物はさらに、結着剤を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記結着剤は、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリビニルアルコール、コロジオン、およびケイ酸塩から成る群から選択される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ベリリウム含有組成物は、0.1重量%〜99.9重量%の前記結着剤と、0.1重量%〜99.9重量%の前記ベリリウム粉末を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ベリリウム粉末は、ニッケルでコーティングされたベリリウム粒子を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ベリリウム粉末は、約92重量%〜100重量%未満のベリリウムと、ゼロ重量%超〜約8重量%のニッケルとを含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記物品は、0〜約5重量%のニッケルと、約58〜約65重量%のベリリウムと、約30〜約42重量%のアルミニウムとを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記堆積するステップは、ほぼ室温で行われる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記予備成形物の焼結に先立って、前記複数の層を硬化させるステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 焼結に先立って、かつ硬化後、望ましくない材料を除去するステップをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記物品を焼鈍するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記焼鈍された物品を仕上げるステップをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記仕上げるステップは、研磨およびめっきから成る群から選択された少なくとも1つの作用を含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 請求項1−14のいずれかに記載の方法によって形成される、物品。
- 約1.5g/cc〜約2.5g/ccの密度を有する、請求項15に記載の物品。
- 25℃で約5ppm/℃〜約25ppm/℃の熱膨張係数を有する、請求項15に記載の物品。
- 約100GPa〜約300GPaの弾性率を有する、請求項15に記載の物品。
- 約150〜約900MPaの降伏強度を有する、請求項15に記載の物品。
- 約170MPa〜約1000MPaの極限引張強度を有する、請求項15に記載の物品。
