Abstract
本開示は、ルバベグロン、又はその生理学的に受容可能な塩を用いて、ウシからのアンモニアの排出及び二酸化炭素の排出を減少させるための方法及び製剤を提示するものである。本開示はまた、ウシの飼料添加物、及びウシの飼料組成物を提示するものである。

Description
4.5g/lbのタイプA医薬品として、ルバベグロン(L)を調製する。少なくとも8頭の畜牛の囲い(CPE:cattle pen enclosures)を有する施設において、全投与量(0、1.25、5及び20g/トン)及び性別(雌牛及び去勢雄牛)の組み合わせに相当する各サイクルの2サイクルの畜牛を試験する。本実施例の目的に対し、サイクルは、112頭の同時に飼育された動物群を指す。各サイクル内で、2つのコホートの動物(コホート当たり、56頭の動物)が存在する。コホートとは、4つの投与量の各々に相当する、同じ性別の動物の群を指す。4サイクルまでを用いて、性別当たり総数で4つのコホートが提供される。
4.5g/lbのタイプA医薬品として、ルバベグロン(L)を調製する。畜牛チャンバーまたは個々の動物に対する個室を有する適切な施設(チャンバー)内において、性別混合(雌牛及び去勢雄牛)で、全投与量(0、1.25、5及び20g/トン)に相当する各サイクルで、10サイクル、各12頭のウシを試験する。
Claims (10)
- その必要のあるウシからの、アンモニア及び二酸化炭素からなる群から選択される1つ以上のガスの排出を減少させる方法であって、前記ウシに、ルバベグロン、又はその生理学的に受容可能な塩を投与することを含む前記方法。
- 前記ガスの排出が、アンモニアである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ルバベグロン、又はその生理学的に受容可能な塩が、そのヘミフマル酸塩である、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記ルバベグロン、又はその生理学的に受容可能な塩が、動物飼料中で投与される、請求項1、2又は3に記載の方法。
- 前記ウシに1つ以上の他の活性成分が投与され、前記他の活性成分が、モネンシン、タイロシン、及びメレンゲストロール、またはそれらの生理学的に受容可能な塩からなる群から選択される1つ以上の成分である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記ウシが、飼い牛である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記減少が、前記ウシの生体重の1ポンド当たりである、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記減少が、前記ウシの温屠体重量の1ポンド当たりである、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ウシからのアンモニアの排出を減少させるための、ルバベグロン、又はその生理学的に受容可能な塩であって、前記ルバベグロンは、経口投与される、前記ルバベグロン、又はその生理学的に受容可能な塩。
- ルバベグロン、又はその生理学的に受容可能な塩、及びそれに対し適切な担体を含有するウシの飼料添加物であって、前記添加物は、アンモニア及び二酸化炭素からなる群から選択される1つ以上のガスの排出を減少させる、前記ウシの飼料添加物。
