Abstract
【解決手段】駆動回路100は、走査型の車両用灯具1に使用されるモータ24を駆動する。出力段110は、電源電圧VDD1を受け、モータ24に駆動電圧VDRVを供給する。プリドライバ120は、出力段110を制御する。クランプ回路130は、電源電圧VDD1を受け、所定電圧を超えないように制限された中間電圧VDD2を生成する。昇圧回路140は、中間電圧VDD2を受け、それより高い内部電源電圧VDD3をプリドライバ120の電源端子122に供給する。

Description
これにより、電源電圧が低下した場合に、基準電圧ひいては中間電圧がそれに追従して低下するのを防止できる。
同様に、「部材Cが、部材Aと部材Bの間に設けられた状態」とは、部材Aと部材C、あるいは部材Bと部材Cが直接的に接続される場合のほか、それらの電気的な接続状態に実質的な影響を及ぼさない、あるいはそれらの結合により奏される機能や効果を損なわせない、その他の部材を介して間接的に接続される場合も含む。
第1比較技術では、図2の駆動回路100からクランプ回路130と昇圧回路140が省略され、プリドライバ120の電源端子122に、電源電圧VDD1が供給される。この構成では、図3に示す減電圧状態(t0〜t1)において、電源端子122に供給される電圧VDD1が、最低動作電圧VMINを下回ってしまう。したがって、モータ24を正常に駆動できなくなってしまう。
第2比較技術では、図2の駆動回路100から、クランプ回路130が省略され、昇圧回路140には、電源電圧VDD1が直接供給される。この構成では、図3に示す減電圧状態(t0〜t1)において、プリドライバ120の電源端子122に最低動作電圧VMINを超える内部電源電圧VDD3=VLOW×2を供給することができる。
VDD3=2VDD2−2Vf
2Vfを無視すると、内部電源電圧VDD3は中間電圧VDD2の2倍の電圧となる。
図6は、変形例に係るクランプ回路130Cの回路図である。クランプ回路130Cはリニアレギュレータであり、オペアンプOA31、トランジスタM31、抵抗R31,R32、キャパシタC31を含む。クランプ回路130Cの出力電圧VDD2は、以下の式で与えられる。
VDD2=VREF×(R31+R32)/R32
キャパシタC31の容量を大きくとることで、電源電圧VDD1の減電圧変動にともなう中間電圧VDD2の変動を小さくできる。
昇圧回路140のチャージポンプの構成は、図4のそれに限定されない。図7(a)〜(c)は、変形例に係る昇圧回路140D〜140Fの回路図である。
VDD3=VREG+VDD2−2Vf
倍電圧チャージポンプでは、内部電源電圧VDD3が高くなりすぎる場合には、加算型チャージポンプを用い、VREGを最適化することで、適切な電圧レベルの内部電源電圧VDD3を得ることができる。図7(a)において、2つの電圧VDD2,VREGを入れ替えてもよい。
Claims (9)
- 走査型の車両用灯具に使用されるモータの駆動回路であって、
電源電圧を受け、前記モータに駆動電圧を供給する出力段と、
前記出力段を制御するプリドライバと、
前記電源電圧を受け、所定電圧を超えないように制限された中間電圧を生成するクランプ回路と、
前記中間電圧を受け、それより高い内部電源電圧を前記プリドライバの電源端子に供給する昇圧回路と、
を備えることを特徴とする駆動回路。 - 前記クランプ回路は、ソースフォロア回路またはエミッタフォロア回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の駆動回路。
- 前記クランプ回路は、リニアレギュレータを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の駆動回路。
- 前記昇圧回路は、チャージポンプであることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の駆動回路。
- 前記昇圧回路は、前記電源電圧の2倍の電圧を生成する倍電圧チャージポンプであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の駆動回路。
- その入力側に、前記電源電圧と前記昇圧回路の出力電圧の両方が供給されるように接続されている電圧供給回路をさらに備え、
前記クランプ回路における基準電圧が、前記電圧供給回路の出力電圧に応じて生成されることを特徴とする請求項2から5のいずれかに記載の駆動回路。 - 前記電圧供給回路はダイオードOR回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の駆動回路。
- 前記中間電圧が、前記モータの状態を検出するセンサの電源として使用されることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の駆動回路。
- モータと、
前記モータの回転子に取り付けられたリフレクタと、
前記モータを駆動する請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の駆動回路と、
を備えることを特徴とする車両用灯具。
