Abstract
【解決手段】本発明に係る管楽器用木質材料は、積層される複数の単板を備える管楽器用木質材料であって、前記複数の単板間に積層される緩衝層をさらに備え、前記緩衝層が繊維シート及びこの繊維シートに含浸する接着剤を有し、前記繊維シートが織布又は不織布であることを特徴とする。本発明に係る管楽器は、木質材料から形成される管楽器であって、前記木質材料が複数の単板及びこの複数の単板間に積層される緩衝層を備え、前記緩衝層が繊維シート及びこの繊維シートに含浸する接着剤を有し、前記繊維シートが織布又は不織布であることを特徴とする。

Description
図1に示す本発明の一実施形態に係る管楽器用木質材料は、例えばクラリネット、オーボエ、ファゴット、リコーダー等の木製の共鳴管を用いて音を発する管楽器の材料として使用される。
単板1は、天然木を薄板状に切断したものである。この単板1の材質(木の品種)としては、当該管楽器用木質材料を用いて製造される楽器の種類等にもよるが、例えばグラナディラ、樺、スプルース、メープル、ナラ、メランティ、タモ、ポプラ、ブビンガ、マホガニー、けやき、カポール、ブナ等を用いることができ、中でもカバ、スプルース、タモ及びナラが特に好ましい。また、複数の単板1は、個々に材質が異なってもよい。
緩衝層2は、繊維シートとこの繊維シートに含浸する接着剤とを有する。
緩衝層2の繊維シートとしては、織布又は不織布が用いられ、中でも、合成繊維製の不織布が好適に用いられる。繊維シートは、緩衝層2の厚さ及び柔軟性を確保し、緩衝層2が単板1に追従して伸縮することを可能にすることで、層間剥離を防止する。
緩衝層2の接着剤は、繊維シートに含浸して繊維シートの空隙を埋めると共に、単板1に対する接合を可能にする。
当該管楽器用木質材料は、単板1に樹脂組成物を含浸する工程(単板含浸工程)、繊維シートに接着剤を含浸する工程(繊維シート含浸工程)と、単板1と接着剤を含浸した繊維シートとを交互に積層する工程(積層工程)と、単板に含浸されている樹脂組成物及び繊維シートに含浸している接着剤を硬化させる工程(硬化工程)とを備える方法により製造することができる。
単板含浸工程では、単板1に含浸する樹脂組成物中に単板1を浸漬することで、単板1に樹脂組成物を含浸させる。なお、単板1に含浸する樹脂組成物は溶媒で希釈されたものであってもよい。
繊維シート含浸工程では、繊維シートに接着剤を含浸させる。この繊維シート含浸工程では、繊維シートに対して接着剤を過剰に含浸することが好ましい。
積層工程では、単板含浸工程で得られる樹脂組成物を含浸した複数の単板を繊維シート含浸工程で得られる接着剤を含浸した繊維シートを介して積層する。
硬化工程では、単板1及び繊維シートの積層体を加圧した状態で接着剤を硬化させる。
当該管楽器用木質材料は、複数の単板1が厚さを有する緩衝層2を介して積層されていることによって、湿度変化による単板1の伸縮によって作用する応力を緩衝層2が分散し、層間剥離を防止することができる。このため、当該管楽器用木質材料は、湿度変化に対する耐久性に優れる。
図2に、本発明に係る管楽器の一実施形態であるクラリネットを示す。当該クラリネットは、マウスピース11と、バレル12と、上管13と、下管14と、ベル15とを備え、上管13及び下管14に複数の音孔が形成され、この音孔を封止する複数のキイ16が設けられている。
当該クラリネットは、単板1と緩衝層2とを積層してなる木質材料から形成されているので、比較的安価でありながら、比較的高級な天然木に近い音を発することができ、製品毎のばらつきが小さく、かつ湿度変化に対する耐久性に優れる。
前記実施形態は、本発明の構成を限定するものではない。従って、前記実施形態は、本明細書の記載及び技術常識に基づいて前記実施形態各部の構成要素の省略、置換又は追加が可能であり、それらは全て本発明の範囲に属するものと解釈されるべきである。
試作品1として、樹脂組成物を含浸した複数の単板を接着剤を含浸した繊維シートを介して積層し、加圧加熱して管楽器用木質材料を試作した。
単板としては、幅330mm、長さ500mm、厚さ1mmの方形板状のカバ製ロータリー単板を使用した。
単板に含浸する樹脂組成物としては、三菱化学社のエポキシ樹脂「JER828」を用い、このエポキシ樹脂に硬化剤を添加したものに単板を含浸した。
繊維シートに予め接着剤が含浸されたものとして、厚さ0.1m、目付量120g/m2の樹脂含浸シートを使用した。
試作品2として、樹脂組成物を含浸した複数の単板を積層し、加圧加熱して管楽器用木質材料を試作した。

Claims (6)
- 積層される複数の単板を備える管楽器用木質材料であって、
前記複数の単板間に積層される緩衝層をさらに備え、
前記緩衝層が繊維シート及びこの繊維シートに含浸する接着剤を有し、
前記繊維シートが織布又は不織布であることを特徴とする管楽器用木質材料。 - 前記繊維シートが合成繊維製の不織布である請求項1に記載の管楽器用木質材料。
- 前記緩衝層の平均厚さが0.05mm以上0.20mm以下である請求項2に記載の管楽器用木質材料。
- 前記単板の平均厚さが0.5mm以上5mm以下である請求項1、請求項2又は請求項3に記載の管楽器用木質材料。
- 前記繊維シートの繊維がポリエステルを主成分とし、
前記接着剤がエポキシ樹脂を主成分とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の管楽器用木質材料。 - 木質材料から形成される管楽器であって、
前記木質材料が複数の単板及びこの複数の単板間に積層される緩衝層を備え、
前記緩衝層が繊維シート及びこの繊維シートに含浸する接着剤を有し、
前記繊維シートが織布又は不織布であることを特徴とする管楽器。
