Abstract
Description
コネクタ組立体1は、図1〜図8に示されるように、電気コネクタの一種であるプラグコネクタ100が同軸ケーブル200の先端部分に接続された組物である。プラグコネクタ100は、グランドコンタクト導体110と、絶縁ハウジング120と、信号コンタクト導体130とを備える。プラグコネクタ100は、携帯電話等の小型端末に内蔵される配線基板(図示せず)の主面に実装された相手方コネクタ(例えば、リセプタクルコネクタ)(図示せず)と嵌合及び抜去可能に構成されている。
同軸ケーブル200は、例えば、携帯電話等の小型端末に内蔵される各種の配線基板間で高周波信号を伝送するために、当該小型端末内において用いられる配線である。同軸ケーブル200は、図2、図5〜図8に示されるように、内部導体201と、絶縁体202と、外部導体203と、保護被膜204とを備える。
グランドコンタクト導体110は、プレス加工された金属薄板で構成されている。そのため、グランドコンタクト導体110は導電性を有する。グランドコンタクト導体110は、本体部111と、蓋部112とを有する。
絶縁ハウジング120は、図2及び図4〜図10に示されるように、信号コンタクト導体130を内部に保持すると共にグランドコンタクト導体110と信号コンタクト導体130との間を絶縁するための絶縁体である。絶縁ハウジング120は、例えば、樹脂材料を射出成形することによって形成されうる。絶縁ハウジング120は、図4〜図8に示されるように、絶縁本体部121と、突出部122と、押圧部123とを有する。
信号コンタクト導体130は、プレス加工された金属薄板で構成されている。そのため、信号コンタクト導体130は導電性を有する。信号コンタクト導体130は、図5及び図9に示されるように、ベース片131と、挟持片132と、一対の接続片133とを有する。
続いて、グランドコンタクト導体110、絶縁ハウジング120及び信号コンタクト導体130を組み立てて、同軸ケーブル200の先端部にプラグコネクタ100を取り付ける方法について説明する。
ところで、図12に示されるように、特許文献1に記載のコネクタ組立体1Aにおいては、基端部116aに当接部119が設けられておらず、基端部116aがアーム部113に当接してアーム部113及び突出部122を直接押圧している点で、本実施形態に係るコネクタ組立体1と相違する。コネクタ組立体1Aにおいては、グランドコンタクト導体110の本体部111がリセプタクルコネクタと嵌合して本体部111が拡径する際に、本体部111から延びる一対のアーム部113も突出部122から離れるように変形する。具体的には、アーム部113は、固定部116(基端部116a)の略全体と当接している。そのため、アーム部113のうち固定部116よりもグランドコンタクト導体110の本体部111寄りの部分が、図12に示される位置P0を支点にして、突出部122から離れるように屈曲する(図12の二点鎖線参照)。コネクタ組立体1Aにおいては、固定部116による固定強度を確保するために、固定部116がある程度の幅を要する。そのため、位置P0は比較的、本体部111寄りに位置する。従って、アーム部113のうち変形可能な部分が比較的短くなるので、本体部111が十分に拡径し難くなってしまう。
以上、本開示に係る実施形態について詳細に説明したが、本発明の要旨の範囲内で種々の変形を上記の実施形態に加えてもよい。例えば、他の電気コネクタ(例えば、リセプタクルコネクタ)に本発明を適用してもよい。
Claims (4)
- 配線基板に実装された相手方コネクタと嵌合可能に構成される電気コネクタであって、
同軸ケーブルの内部導体が接続される導電性の信号コンタクト導体と、
前記同軸ケーブルの外部導体が接続される導電性のグランドコンタクト導体と、
前記信号コンタクト導体と前記グランドコンタクト導体との間を絶縁する絶縁ハウジングとを備え、
前記グランドコンタクト導体は、
その延在方向に延びるスリットが設けられた筒状の本体部と、
前記本体部のうち前記スリットをなす各端縁から前記本体部の径方向外方に向けて突出する一対のアーム部と、
前記一対のアーム部を外側から締め付ける固定部とを有し、
前記一対のアーム部及び前記固定部の少なくとも一方には、他方に向けて突出する突起が設けられており、
前記突起は、前記一対のアーム部が突出した方向において、前記固定部の前記本体部寄りの端縁から離れる側に位置しており、
前記固定部によって前記一対のアーム部が締め付けられている状態で、前記一対のアーム部及び前記固定部の少なくとも一方に設けられている前記突起は他方に当接しており、前記突起の存在により前記一対のアーム部と前記固定部とは離間している、電気コネクタ。 - 前記一対のアーム部及び前記固定部の少なくとも一方に設けられている前記突起は、前記一対のアーム部が突出した方向において、前記固定部の中央から離れる側に位置している、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 前記絶縁ハウジングは、
内部に前記信号コンタクト導体を保持する筒状の絶縁本体部と、
前記絶縁本体部の外周面から前記絶縁本体部の径方向外方に向けて突出する突出部とを有し、
前記突出部は、前記一対のアーム部の間に位置し且つ前記一対のアーム部と当接している、請求項1又は2に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 前記グランドコンタクト導体は、前記本体部のうち前記配線基板とは離れた側の端縁から延びる蓋部を更に含み、
前記固定部は、前記蓋部に設けられており、前記一対のアーム部のうち前記配線基板に面する端縁に至るまで巻き付いている、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の電気コネクタ。
