- −1種類以上の重合性化合物を含有する重合性成分(A)と、および
−一般式Iの1種類以上の化合物を含有する液晶成分(B)とを含有することを特徴とする液晶媒体。
(式中、
R0は、1〜15個の炭素原子を有するアルキルまたはアルケニル基であり、該基は無置換であるか、CNまたはCF3で一置換されているか、またはハロゲンで少なくとも一置換されており、ただし加えて、これらの基における1個以上のCH2基は、それぞれ互いに独立に、O原子が互いに直接連結しないようにして、−O−、−S−、
−CO−、−CO−O−、−O−CO−、−O−CO−O−、−CH=CH−または−C≡C−で置き換えられていてもよく、
Y1およびY2は、それぞれ互いに独立に、HまたはFであり、
Z1は、−CF2O−、−OCF2−または−COO−であり、
Z2は、−O−、−S−、−CO−、−COO−、−OCO−、−S−CO−、−CO−S−、−OCH2−、−CH2O−、−SCH2−、−CH2S−、−CF2O−、−OCF2−、−CF2S−、−SCF2−、−CH2CH2−、−CF2CH2−、−CH2CF2−、−CF2CF2−、−CH=CH−、−CF=CH−、−CH=CF−、−CF=CF−、−C≡C−または単結合であり、

Lは、P−Sp−、F、Cl、Br、I、−CN、−NO2、−NCO、−NCS、−OCN、−SCN、−C(=O)N(Rx)2、−C(=O)Y1、−C(=O)Rx、−N(Rx)2、置換されていてもよいシリル、置換されていてもよく6〜20個のC原子を有するアリール、または、直鎖状または分岐状で1〜25個のC原子を有するアルキル、アルコキシ、アルキルカルボニル、アルコキシカルボニル、アルキルカルボニルオキシまたはアルコキシカルボニルオキシ表し、ただし加えて、1個以上のH原子は、F、ClまたはP−Sp−で置き換えられていてもよく、
L’およびL”は、それぞれ互いに独立に、H、FまたはClを表し、
rは、0、1、2、3または4を表し、
sは、0、1、2または3を表し、
tは、0、1または2を表し、
xは、0または1を表し、および
Rxは、HまたはCH3を表す。) - 混合物全体における式Iの化合物の割合が、全混合物を基礎として2〜30重量%の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の液晶媒体。
- 液晶混合物を基礎として5重量%未満の重合性化合物を含有することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の液晶媒体。
- 電気光学的目的のための請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の液晶媒体の使用。
- 請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の液晶媒体を含有する電気光学的液晶ディスプレイ。
- TN、TN−TFT、FFSまたはIPSディスプレイであることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の電気光学的液晶ディスプレイ。
