Abstract
【解決手段】首部12と、肩部14と、胴部16と、が連続的に構成された、樹脂からなる、有底筒状の医療用容器1である。医療用容器1を上下に分割した構造の上部部材2と、下部部材4とからなり、上部部材2は、環状の下端面に、下端面の形状に沿うように環状凹部が形成され、下部部材4は、環状の上端面に、上端面の形状に沿うように環状凸部が形成され、上部部材2の環状凹部に対して、下部部材4の環状凸部が締まり嵌めされ、更に、環状凸部と環状凹部との嵌合部が、医療用容器1の外周側から溶融樹脂6で封着され、溶融樹脂6によって、上部部材2と下部部材4とが固着されている。

Description
図1は、本発明の医療用容器をその中心軸を通過するように切断した断面を模式的に示す断面図である。図1に示す医療用容器1は医療用のバイアル(瓶)である。但し、本発明の「医療用容器」は、バイアルに限定されるものではない。則ち、本発明の「医療用容器」は、医療用途に用いられる容器であれば足り、その名称に拘らず、薬液や検体を保存、輸送、混合等するための器となる物品全般を意味するものとする。
図1に示す医療用容器1は、首部12と、肩部14と、胴部16と、が連続的に構成された、有底筒状の医療用容器である。
図1に示す医療用容器1は、上端に開口部8が形成され、下端に底部10を有する有底円筒状に構成されている。また、医療用容器1は、首部12と胴部16の径が異なる異径円筒状に形成されている。更に、医療用容器1は、外壁の内周側に、空洞18が区画形成されている。
図1に示す医療用容器1の首部12は、上端に開口部8が形成された筒状に構成されている。首部12には、開口部8の周縁に厚肉の円筒部(リップ部)が形成され、前記リップ部の下端に連続するように、薄肉の円筒部が形成されている。また、前記薄肉の円筒部の下端は肩部14の上端と連続するように構成されている。
図1に示す医療用容器1の肩部14は、下端に向かうに連れて径が拡がるラッパ状に構成されている。肩部14は、小径の首部12と大径の胴部16を繋ぐ部分である。則ち、肩部14の上端は首部12の下端(則ち、薄肉の円筒部の下端)と連続するように構成され、肩部14の下端は胴部16の上端と連続するように構成されている。図1に示す医療用容器1においては、胴部16が、首部12の下端側を構成する薄肉の円筒部より更に薄肉に形成されているため、肩部14は首部12側が厚肉に構成され、下端側に向かうに連れて徐々に肉厚が薄くなるように構成されている。また、肩部14は、中空の円錐台状に形成されている。
図1に示す医療用容器1の胴部16は、首部12より大径で、かつ、下端に底部10を有する有底筒状に構成されている。胴部16の上端は首部12の下端と連続するように構成されている。「首部より大径」とは、首部の内径よりも胴部の内径が大であることを意味する。底部10は、上側に向かって凸となるアーチ状に形成されている。
図1に示す医療用容器1は、容量20mLのバイアルである。医療用容器1は、高さが60.52mm、首部12の内径が12.50mm、胴部16の外径がφ30.0mm、胴部16の肉厚が1.8mmに構成されている。
図1に示す医療用容器1は、シクロオレフィンポリマー(COP)からなる。但し、医療用容器の構成材料は、樹脂であればよく、COPに限定されない。具体的な材料は特に限定されないが、機械的強度に優れ、成形品を低コストで大量生産することが可能な熱可塑性の硬質樹脂であることが好ましい。例えば、環状オレフィン系樹脂、ポリエチレン(PE)系樹脂、ポリプロピレン(PP)系樹脂、ポリカーボネート(PC)系樹脂、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)系樹脂等を挙げることができる。これらの樹脂の中でも、低溶出性で、透明性やガスバリヤ性に優れる環状オレフィン系樹脂が好ましく、COPが特に好ましい。なお、本明細書において「(ポリ)X系樹脂」というときは、Xの単独重合体の他、Xの共重合体も含むものとする。則ち、環状オレフィン系樹脂には、COPの他、シクロオレフィンコポリマー(COC)も含まれる。
医療用容器1の中心軸と直交する方向に沿って、医療用容器1を上下に分割した構造の上部部材2と、下部部材4とからなる。
図2は、上部部材をその中心軸を通過するように切断した断面を模式的に示す断面図である。図2に示す上部部材2は、首部12、肩部14、及び胴部16の一部(底部10以外の部分、胴部筒状部26)を構成している。そして、上部部材2の下端側には下部開口22が形成されている。
図3は、下部部材をその中心軸を通過するように切断した断面を模式的に示す断面図である。図3に示す下部部材4は、胴部16の一部(底部10)を構成している。但し、下部部材は、胴部の全部を構成していてもよい。則ち、図1に示す医療用容器1のように、上部部材2と下部部材4とのパーティングラインが、肩部14と胴部16の境界線上にあってもよい。そのような構造であっても、内型の型抜きは可能である。
図4A〜図4Cは、いずれも本発明の医療用容器の製造工程を示す図であり、上部部材と下部部材の嵌合部近傍を拡大して示すものである。図4Aは、上部部材に対して、下部部材を嵌め込む前の状態を模式的に示す工程図であり、図4Bは、上部部材に対して、下部部材を嵌め込んだ状態を模式的に示す工程図であり、図4Cは、上部部材に対して、下部部材を嵌め込み、その嵌合部を溶融樹脂により封着した状態を模式的に示す工程図である。以下、これらの図を参照しながら、本発明の医療用容器の上部部材と下部部材の結合構造について説明する。
図4Aに示すように、上部部材2の環状凹部20(切欠凹部24)、及び下部部材4の環状凸部30(切欠凸部32)は、ともに上端側に向かうに連れて先細りとなるテーパー形状に形成されていることが好ましい。このような形状とすることにより、環状凹部20に環状凸部30を嵌め込み易くなり、後述する締まり嵌めを容易に行うことが可能となる。
図1に示す医療用容器1は、図4Bに示すように、上部部材2の環状凹部20に対して、下部部材4の環状凸部30が締まり嵌めされている。「締まり嵌め」とは、環状凹部20の内径よりも外径が大である環状凸部30が嵌め込まれていることを意味する。締まり嵌めは、環状凸部と環状凹部の可撓性によって、環状凸部と環状凹部との当接面(嵌合面)を極めて強固に密着させることができ、溶融樹脂の樹脂漏れを有効に防止することができる。
図1に示す医療用容器1は、図4Cに示すように、環状凸部と環状凹部との嵌合部40が、医療用容器の外周側から溶融樹脂6で封着され、溶融樹脂6によって上部部材2と下部部材4とが固着されている。則ち、図4Bに示す環状溝部42に加熱溶融させた溶融樹脂を充填すると、図4Cに示すように、溶融樹脂6は上部部材2と下部部材4の双方に接触し、上部部材2と下部部材4に対して接着力を示す。この溶融樹脂6を冷却し、固化させることで、環状凸部と環状凹部との嵌合部40が、医療用容器の外周側から溶融樹脂6で封着される。このような構造は、上部部材2の環状凹部20に対して、下部部材4の環状凸部30が締まり嵌めされていることに加えて、溶融樹脂6によって上部部材2と下部部材4とが強固に固着されるため好ましい。また、上部部材2の環状凹部20に対して、下部部材4の環状凸部30が締まり嵌めされているために、溶融樹脂6が嵌合部40に浸入することがなく、樹脂漏れを有効に防止することができる。なお、ここに言う「嵌合部」とは、環状凸部と環状凹部との当接部分を意味するものとする。
図1に示す医療用容器1は、以下に示す方法により製造した。但し、本発明の医療用容器を製造する方法は、以下の方法に限定されるものではない。
(1)上部部材2と下部部材4とを別個に射出成形する。この際、上部部材2の環状凹部20に対して下部部材4の環状凸部30が大径となるように成形する。
(2)次いで、図4A、及び図4Bに示すように、上部部材2の環状凹部20に対して下部部材4の環状凸部30を嵌め込む(締まり嵌め)。この際、医療用容器の外周側に、環状溝部42が形成される。
(3)最後に、図4Cに示すように、前記環状溝部に溶融樹脂6を充填し、環状凸部30と環状凹部20の嵌合部40を、医療用容器の外周側から封着する。こうすることにより、溶融樹脂6によって上部部材2と下部部材4とを強固に固着させることができる。この工程は、上部部材と下部部材とを嵌め合わせた後、型入れし、前記環状凹部をゲートとして溶融樹脂を流し込み、2次成形(2次射出)する方法等により行うことができる。
Claims (3)
- 上端に開口部が形成された筒状の首部と、下端に向かうに連れて径が拡がるラッパ状の肩部と、前記首部より大径で、かつ、下端に底部を有する有底筒状の胴部と、が連続的に構成された、樹脂からなる、有底筒状の医療用容器であって、
前記医療用容器の中心軸と直交する方向に沿って、前記医療用容器を上下に分割した構造の上部部材と、下部部材とからなり、
前記上部部材は、少なくとも前記首部、及び前記肩部を含んで構成され、環状の下端面に、前記下端面の形状に沿うように環状凹部が形成され、
前記下部部材は、前記胴部の一部又は全部によって構成され、環状の上端面に、前記上端面の形状に沿うように環状凸部が形成され、
前記上部部材の前記環状凹部に対して、前記下部部材の前記環状凸部が締まり嵌めされ、
更に、前記環状凸部と前記環状凹部との嵌合部が、前記医療用容器の外周側から溶融樹脂で封着され、
前記溶融樹脂によって、前記上部部材と前記下部部材とが固着されていることを特徴とする医療用容器。 - 前記上部部材の前記環状凹部、及び前記下部部材の前記環状凸部が、ともに上端側に向かうに連れて先細りとなるテーパー形状に形成され、
前記環状凹部のテーパー面と、前記環状凸部のテーパー面とを当接させるように、前記環状凹部に対して、前記環状凸部が嵌め込まれている請求項1に記載の医療用容器。 - 前記上部部材の前記環状凹部は、前記上部部材の内周側が切り欠かれた構造の切欠凹部であり、
前記下部部材の前記環状凸部は、前記下部部材の外周側が切り欠かれた残部によって形成される切欠凸部であり、
前記切欠凹部の深さよりも、前記切欠凸部の高さが大きく構成されることによって、前記医療用容器の外周面側に、その周方向に沿って環状溝部が形成されており、
前記環状溝部に、前記溶融樹脂が充填されることによって、前記切欠凸部と前記切欠凹部との嵌合部が、前記医療用容器の外周側から溶融樹脂で封着され、
前記溶融樹脂によって、前記上部部材と前記下部部材とが固着されている請求項1又は2に記載の医療用容器。
