Abstract
Description
触媒1A(Pt−Pd−Ba−Co/マグネシア−アルミナ担体):
硝酸コバルト(II)(4.92g)と酢酸バリウム(0.93g)を純水(〜15mL)に入れ、温和に加熱して溶解する。このCo−Ba溶液にマグネシア−アルミナ担体(10g)を段階的に加え、105℃で2−3時間乾燥し、次に、500℃で2時間焼成することでBa−Co/マグネシア−アルミナが生成する。Ba−Co/マグネシア−アルミナを白金及びパラジウム塩(〜7g溶液)の水溶液と接触させ、最終的な触媒として1.5重量%のPt及び0.5重量%のPdとなるように加えて、105℃で2−3時間乾燥し、次に、500℃で2時間焼成することで触媒1Aが生成する。触媒1Aは、10重量%のCo、5重量%のBa、1.5重量%のPt、及び0.5重量%のPdを含む。
比較触媒1Bは、硝酸コバルトが使用されないことを除いて触媒1Aの方法に従って調製する。比較触媒1Bは、5重量%のBa、1.5重量%のPt、及び0.5重量%のPdを含む。
比較触媒1Cは、アルミナがマグネシア−アルミナの代わりに使用されることを除いて触媒1Aの方法に従って調製する。比較触媒1Cは、10重量%のCo、5重量%のBa、1.5重量%のPt、及び0.5重量%のPdを含む。
触媒(0.4g)を200℃で5分間NO含有ガス中に収容し、275℃の床温を達成するために、20℃/分の勾配の割合で290℃に温度が上昇し、275℃の床温で5分間触媒を保持する。触媒をリッチガスの存在下で15秒リッチパージに供し、次に、フレッシュ触媒(「フレッシュサイクル」)のNOX吸蔵能とN2O選択性を評価するために、床温が約500℃に達するまで、TPDガスの存在下で昇温脱離(TPD)に供した。
Claims (13)
- 白金族金属、バリウム、コバルト、及びマグネシア−アルミナ担体を含有するNOXトラップ組成物。
- 白金族金属が、白金、パラジウム、ロジウム、及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1記載のNOXトラップ組成物。
- マグネシア−アルミナ担体がアルミン酸マグネシウムスピネルである、請求項1記載のNOXトラップ組成物。
- マグネシア−アルミナ担体が5から40重量パーセントのマグネシアを含有する、請求項1記載のNOXトラップ組成物。
- NOXトラップ組成物が0.1から10重量パーセントの白金族金属を含有する、請求項1記載のNOXトラップ組成物。
- NOXトラップ組成物が2から20重量パーセントのコバルトを含有する、請求項1記載のNOXトラップ組成物。
- NOXトラップ組成物が1から10重量パーセントのバリウムを含有する、請求項1記載のNOXトラップ組成物。
- マグネシア−アルミナ担体が600℃より高い温度で予備焼成される、請求項1記載のNOXトラップ組成物。
- 金属製又はセラミック製の基材に担持された請求項1記載のNOXトラップ組成物を含む、NOXトラップ。
- 基材がフロースルーモノリスである、請求項9記載のNOXトラップ。
- 請求項9記載のNOXトラップを具備する、内燃機関用の排気システム。
