Abstract
Description
前記基材側から前記フィルムに入り、前記線形プリズム側から前記フィルムを出て、前記フィルム内を進む間に、相互に直交する偏光状態に対して実質的に同じ位相遅延を経る光線が、前記基材に対する垂線から、20度を超える角度で前記フィルムを出るような、輝度強化フィルム。
前記基材が、前記基材の平面内の相互に直交する方向において、主屈折率nx及びnyを有し、nxがnyよりも大きく、前記基材側からフィルムに入り、前記フィルム内を進む間に相互に直交する偏光状態に対して実質的に同じ位相遅延を経る光線が、前記線形プリズムによる反射を経るように、前記第1の方向が、nxに対応する主方向と角度を成す、輝度強化フィルム。
前記基材が、前記基材の平面内の相互に直交する方向において、主屈折率nx及びnyを有し、nxがnyより少なくとも0.04大きく、前記基材側から前記フィルムに入り、前記フィルム内を進む間に相互に直交する偏光状態に対して10度未満の位相遅延差を経る光線が、前記線形プリズムによる反射を経るように、前記第1の方向が、nxに対応する主方向と角度を成す、輝度強化フィルム。
Claims (8)
- 複屈折基材上に配置された複数個の線形プリズムを備える輝度強化フィルムであって、
前記基材側から前記フィルムに入り、前記線形プリズム側から前記フィルムを出て、前記フィルム内を進む間に、相互に直交する偏光状態に対して実質的に同じ位相遅延を経る光線が、前記基材に対する垂線から、20度を超える角度で前記フィルムを出るような、輝度強化フィルム。 - 前記基材の平面内の基材の複屈折が、少なくとも0.02である、請求項1に記載の輝度強化フィルム。
- 前記相互に直交する偏光状態に対する位相遅延の差が、約10度未満である、請求項1に記載の輝度強化フィルム。
- 前記線形プリズムが、80〜110度の範囲のピーク角度を有する、請求項1に記載の輝度強化フィルム。
- 基材上に配置され、第1の方向に沿って延在する複数個の線形プリズムを備える、輝度強化フィルムであって、
前記基材が、前記基材の平面内の相互に直交する方向において、主屈折率nx及びnyを有し、nxがnyよりも大きく、前記基材側からフィルムに入り、前記フィルム内を進む間に相互に直交する偏光状態に対して実質的に同じ位相遅延を経る光線が、前記線形プリズムによる反射を経るように、前記第1の方向が、nxに対応する主方向と角度を成す、輝度強化フィルム。 - 前記第1の方向が、nxに対応する主方向と、20度未満である角度を成す、請求項5に記載の輝度強化フィルム。
- nxが、nyより少なくとも0.02大きい、請求項5に記載の輝度強化フィルム。
- 基材上に配置され、第1の方向に沿って延在する複数個の線形プリズムを備える、輝度強化フィルムであって、
前記基材が、前記基材の平面内の相互に直交する方向において、主屈折率nx及びnyを有し、nxがnyより少なくとも0.04大きく、前記基材側から前記フィルムに入り、前記フィルム内を進む間に相互に直交する偏光状態に対して10度未満の位相遅延差を経る光線が、前記線形プリズムによる反射を経るように、前記第1の方向が、nxに対応する主方向と角度を成す、輝度強化フィルム。
