Abstract
Description
好ましい実施形態の以下の説明は、事実上は単なる例示であり、本発明、その応用または用途を限定することを意図するものではない。
例えば、該満腹誘導剤がレプチンおよび/またはその受容体の発現を増大し、かつ/または、該満腹誘導剤がレプチンおよびその受容体の発現を減少させるものである;
例えば、調節される遺伝子がNPY1RおよびNPY5Rから選択されるものである;
例えば、満腹誘導剤が没食子酸エピガロカテキン(epigallocatechin gallate)、EPAおよびルテオリン(luteolin)から選択されるものである;
例えば、該満腹誘導剤が没食子酸エピガロカテキン、EPAおよびルテオリンから選択され、かつ、該動物がイヌである、ペットフード組成物(組成物1)を提供する。
Affymetrix Genechip発現解析
Affymetrix, Inc.(95051カリフォルニア州サンタクララ)から市販されているAffymetrix Canine1およびCanine2 GeneChip登録商標アレイを用いて、遺伝子発現を解析した。全RNAをcDNAに逆転写する。このcDNAを用いてcRNAを生成させ、断片化し、GeneChipハイブリダイゼーションのためのプローブとして用いる。ジーンチップを洗浄し、ハイブリダイゼーションシグナルをAffymetrixレーザースキャナで測定する。次いで、このハイブリダイゼーションデータをさらなる解析のために確認および標準化する。
Claims (21)
- 満腹応答を誘導するのに有効な量で満腹誘導剤を含むペットフード組成物であって、ここに、該満腹誘導剤は、NPY、NPY受容体、レプチンおよびレプチン受容体から選択される一以上の遺伝子の発現を調節するのに有効であり、かつ、該満腹誘導剤は、没食子酸エピガロカテキン、EPAおよびルテオリンから選択されるものである、ペットフード組成物。
- 没食子酸エピガロカテキンが0.02mgから2.9mgの量である、請求項1に記載のペットフード組成物。
- EPAが6mgから900mgの量である、請求項1または請求項2に記載のペットフード組成物。
- ルテオリンが0.0003mgから0.1mgの量である、上記請求項のいずれかに記載のペットフード組成物。
- 動物がイヌである、上記請求項のいずれかに記載のペットフード組成物。
- 0−90重量%の炭水化物;
5−70重量%のタンパク質;
2−50重量%の脂肪;
0.1−20重量%の全食物繊維;および
0−15重量%のビタミンおよびミネラル
をさらに含む、上記請求項のいずれかに記載のペットフード組成物。 - 有効量の請求項1−6のいずれか一項に記載のペットフード組成物を動物に与えることを含む、満腹応答を誘導する方法。
- 没食子酸エピガロカテキンが0.02mgから2.9mgの量である、請求項7に記載の方法。
- EPAが6mgから900mgの量である、請求項7または請求項8に記載の方法。
- ルテオリンが0.0003mgから0.1mgの量である、請求項7−9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 動物がイヌである、請求項7−10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ペットフード組成物が、
0−90重量%の炭水化物;
5−70重量%のタンパク質;
2−50重量%の脂肪;
0.1−20重量%の全食物繊維;および
0−15重量%のビタミンおよびミネラル
をさらに含む、請求項7−11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - ペットフード組成物が、該動物に適した大きさおよび年齢階級における動物の栄養所要量を供給するために調製される、請求項7−12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1−6のいずれか一項に記載のペットフード組成物を動物に与えることを含む、動物の食物摂取の量を制御する方法であって、該満腹誘導剤は、適した栄養素含有量が消費される際に該動物が摂食を停止するように存在するものである、方法。
- 没食子酸エピガロカテキンが0.02mgから2.9mgの量である、請求項14に記載の方法。
- EPAが6mgから900mgの量である、請求項14または請求項15に記載の方法。
- ルテオリンが0.0003mgから0.1mgの量である、請求項14−16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 動物がイヌである、請求項14−17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ペットフード組成物が、
0−90重量%の炭水化物;
5−70重量%のタンパク質;
