Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce friction resistance of a front fork used for a motorcycle and the like. The friction resistance worsens road surface followability.SOLUTION: By reducing friction resistance by a thrust bearing fixed in a fork, road surface followability is improved. As means for solving, mechanisms of 1., and 1., 2., 3., are combined. 1. The thrust bearing is fixed on a center of the fork. 2. A bleeding is provided so as not to divide air volume in the fork. 3. A spring is fixed on the center of the fork in the same mechanism as the bearing.

Description

The present invention relates to a front fork used in a motorcycle or the like, which is a mechanism for reducing friction generated with the operation of the fork and improving road surface followability.

Not listed due to lack of investigation.

Front forks used in motorcycles and the like constantly move up and down, and the frictional resistance of each part generated by the vertical movement strongly affects the ride comfort and running performance. Among the frictions of each part, an object was to reduce the friction generated when the front fork spring rubs against the inner periphery of the fork and the spring seat surface.
By incorporating the present invention into the front fork, friction can be reduced and ride quality can be improved.

In order to reduce friction, a thrust bearing that releases the twist of the spring is provided in the fork to release the twist of the spring. Torsion causes rubbing friction on the inner wall of the inner tube in which the fork spring is housed, and this friction and friction due to rotation of the spring seat surface are minimized.
In this apparatus, not only the bearing is installed at the center (Claim 1) but also the fork spring is installed at the center (Claim 2). It is also important to provide an air passage so that this mechanism does not divide the air volume in the fork (Claim 2).

Improved riding comfort and improved ground contact. When this device was actually installed and run, the feeling of ground contact when crossing the zebra zone on the road was improved.

In addition to FIG. 1, a holder for holding the fork spring is provided. A hole is made in the holder so that the air volume in the fork spring is not divided, or the holder is made thinner than the inner diameter of the fork to provide an air passage. The schematic diagram which looked at the fork in the longitudinal section. Claims (2)

In order to reduce the frictional resistance caused by the vertical movement of the front fork of a motorcycle, a structure that installs a thrust bearing that releases the torsion of the spring accompanying the vertical movement of the front fork. The bearing is held at the center of the fork, and the fulcrum that holds the center is a damper rod in the front fork of the motorcycle or the inner periphery of the fork pipe. (See FIG. 1 and FIG. 2) This claim does not apply when the bearing without the holding mechanism is simply inserted below the fork cap or above and below the fork spring. (機構は図3、図4を参照のこと)In addition to claim 1, a structure for fixing the center of the bearing and the center of the front fork spring in order to minimize contact between the inner periphery of the fork spring and the fork pipe. In this structure, an air vent gap is provided so that the air volume in the front fork is not divided. (See Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 for the mechanism)
