Abstract
【解決手段】複数の画素領域Pに対応する複数の電源配線222を含み、映像を表示する表示パネル220と、複数の電源配線222に電源電圧を供給し、複数の電源配線222に流れる電流を検出し、その検出結果に基づいて電源電圧の供給を制御する電源制御部250と、表示パネル220にデータ信号を供給する複数のデータ駆動部230とを備え、複数の電源制御部250は、発光表示パネル220の複数の電源配線222に流れる電流を検出し、その検出結果に基づいて電源電圧の供給をオン・オフさせる。

Claims (10)
- 複数の画素領域に対応する複数の電源配線を含み、映像を表示する表示パネルと、
前記複数の電源配線に電源電圧を供給し、前記複数の電源配線に流れる電流を検出し、その検出結果に基づいて前記電源電圧の供給を制御する電源制御部と、
前記表示パネルにデータ信号を供給する複数のデータ駆動部と、
を備えることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記電源制御部は、
前記電源電圧の出力可否を決定する電源電圧制御部と、
前記電源電圧制御部の制御に従って前記複数の電源配線への前記電源電圧の供給をオン・オフするスイッチ部と、
前記複数の電源配線に流れる前記電流を検出する電流検出部と、
複数の出力端子に出力される前記電源電圧の経路である複数の供給チャネルのうちから1つを選択するチャネル選択部と、
前記電流検出部が検出した前記電流を基準電流と比較する比較部と、
を含み、
前記電源電圧制御部は、前記比較部の比較結果に基づいて前記スイッチ部を制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記スイッチ部は、電源電圧供給配線に並列に接続される複数のトランジスタを含み、
前記電流検出部は、前記複数のトランジスタと前記複数の出力端子との間にそれぞれ接続される複数の抵抗を含み、
前記チャネル選択部は、前記複数の抵抗の一端にある複数の第1ノードのうちから1つを選択する第1マルチプレクサ(MUX1)と、前記複数の抵抗の他端にある複数の第2ノードのうちから1つを選択する第2マルチプレクサ(MUX2)とを含み、
前記比較部は、前記複数の第1ノードのうちから選択された1つの第1電圧と前記複数の第2ノードのうちから選択された1つの第2電圧とを比較する比較器を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記比較部は、
前記第1電圧と前記第2電圧の差が基準電圧以下である場合、前記電流が前記基準電流以下であると判断し、
前記第1電圧と前記第2電圧の差が前記基準電圧より大きい場合は、前記電流が前記基準電流より大きいと判断することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記発光ダイオードパネルは、前記複数の画素領域及び前記複数の電源配線を含む表示領域と、前記表示領域を囲む非表示領域とを含み、
前記非表示領域には、前記電源制御部及び前記複数の電源配線に接続される複数の第1電源リンク配線が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の電源配線のうちの2つ以上が、前記複数の第1電源リンク配線のそれぞれに接続されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示装置。
- 前記複数のデータ駆動部は、それぞれ前記データ信号を生成する駆動集積回路と、前記駆動集積回路が装着される延性印刷回路とを含み、
前記延性印刷回路には、前記電源制御部及び前記複数の第1電源リンク配線に接続される複数の第2電源リンク配線が形成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数のデータ駆動部は、前記電源制御部が装着されるデータ印刷回路基板を更に含み、
前記データ印刷回路基板には、前記電源制御部及び前記第2電源リンク配線に接続される複数の第3電源リンク配線が形成されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示装置。 - 電源制御部が発光ダイオードパネルの複数の電源配線に複数の出力端子から出力される電源電圧を供給し、複数のデータ駆動部が複数の画素領域にデータ信号を供給して映像を表示する段階と、
前記電源制御部が前記複数の電源配線に流れる電流を検出し、その電流が過電流であるか否かを判断する段階と、
前記電流が前記過電流である場合、前記電源制御部が前記複数の電源配線に供給される前記電源電圧を選択的に遮断する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記電流が前記過電流でない場合、前記電源制御部が前記電源電圧を前記複数の電源配線に持続的に供給する段階を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
