Abstract

Description
本願開示の種々の実施例は通常、二次元データ感知が可能な磁気センサに向けられる。
データ記憶産業の新たな局面は引き続き、より高いデータ容量およびより速いデータアクセスを備えた装置を得ようと努めている。回転記録媒体のデータトラックは、より大きなデータ容量を収容するためにより小さくなるため、側面トラック読出および干渉のようなデータ読出および書込エラーは、信号の忠実性に有害な影響をもたらし得る。複数のデータトラックを読み出すことによって順次復号化される複数のデータトラック符号化を用いた二次元磁気記録(TDMR)の使用は、余分なデータ媒体の回転なしに信号の忠実性を回復させることができる。しかしながら、より小さな形成因子のデータ記憶装置は、正確な整列および相互接続で複数のデータセンサを与えることをより一層重視している。したがって、産業界は、減じられた形成因子で構築可能である正確な整列および相互接続で二次元データセンサを与えるよう努めている。
Claims (20)
- データ記憶媒体の隣接するデータトラックに係合するようにそれぞれ構成される複数の磁気スタックを含み、各磁気スタックは、前縁シールドおよび後縁シールドの間に配置され、少なくとも1つのシールドは、磁気スタックの数とは異なる数のコンタクトに分割され、コンタクトは、二次元データ感知を可能にするように電気的に分割される、装置。
- 磁気スタックの数は、電気的コンタクトの数より少ない、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 磁気スタックの数は、電気的コンタクトの数より多い、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 各磁気スタックは、固定の磁気基準構造なしに複数の磁気的フリー層を含む三重層センサである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前縁シールドおよび後縁シールドの少なくとも1つは、複数の磁気スタックを横切って連続的に延伸する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前縁シールドおよび後縁シールドの少なくとも1つは、少なくとも1つのトレンチによって電気的コンタクトの部分に物理的に分離される、請求項1に記載のそうち。
- 少なくとも1つのトレンチは、非直交角で形成される側壁を備える、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 少なくとも1つのトレンチは、連続的曲線で形成される側壁を備える、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 少なくとも1つの電気的コンタクトは、複数の磁気スタックに及ぶ、請求項1に記載の装置。

- 各磁気スタックは、複数の層を含み、トレンチは、複数の磁気層のすべてではない、いくつかの層を通じて延伸する、請求項11に記載の磁気素子。
- 空気ベアリング表面(ABS)上の前縁シールドおよび後縁シールドの間に配置される複数の磁気スタックと、
