Claims (14)
- 稠密な本体部材と、それほど稠密ではないスポンジバルブ部材とを含み、前記スポンジバルブ部材は、約0.60g/cc以下の吹込み比重を示す材料と、細孔が約110μmまでの断面直径を有する内部細孔構造と、滑らかな外面仕上げとを含む、自動車向けウェザーストリップ。
- 前記吹込み比重が約0.40g/cc以下である、請求項1に記載の自動車向けウェザーストリップ。
- 前記スポンジバルブ部分が、ゴムと、熱膨張性微小球の物理発泡剤との組合せを含む、請求項1に記載の自動車向けウェザーストリップ。
- 前記熱膨張性微小球の発泡剤が、全発泡剤の約40%から約100%として含まれる、請求項3に記載の自動車向けウェザーストリップ。
- 前記熱膨張性微小球の発泡剤が、アクリロニトリルシェルおよび炭化水素充填材を有する微小球である、請求項3に記載の自動車向けウェザーストリップ。
- 約80°〜205℃のプロセス温度で、前記シェルが破裂し、揮発した前記炭化水素充填材を放出し、実質的に均一な微孔性構造を、前記細孔が約100μmの断面直径を示す前記スポンジバルブ部材内に与える、請求項5に記載の自動車向けウェザーストリップ。
- 前記細孔が実質的に球状である、請求項1に記載の自動車向けウェザーストリップ。
- a)本体部材用の稠密なゴム組成物を用意し、これを処理してウェザーストリップの本体部材を形成するステップと;
b)スポンジバルブ部材に、ステップ(a)の前記稠密なゴム組成物に比べてそれほど稠密ではないゴム組成物を用意し、これを処理してスポンジバルブ部材を形成するステップと;
c)前記スポンジバルブ部材を形成する前に、シェルおよびコア構造を有する微小球の物理発泡剤とステップ(b)の前記スポンジバルブ部材組成物とを混合するステップと;
d)ステップ(c)の混合物を加熱して、コアを揮発させ、微小球シェルを破裂させるステップと;
e)前記本体部材および前記スポンジバルブ部材が組み合わされて、本体部材および接触スポンジバルブ部材を有するウェザーストリップが形成されるように、ステップ(a)および(b)の材料を押し出すステップであって、前記スポンジバルブ部材が、約110μm未満の直径を有する細孔と、約0.60g/ccまでの吹込み比重とを有する均一な細孔構造を示すものであるステップと
を含む、ウェザーストリップ材料を作製する方法。 - 前記本体部材が、少なくとも熱可塑性成分を含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- ステップ(b)および(c)が同時に行われる、請求項8に記載の方法。
- ステップ(b)およびステップ(c)が順次行われる、請求項8に記載の方法。
- ステップ(a)およびステップ(b)のそれぞれが、前記ゴム組成物への添加剤の添加を含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- ステップ(b)の前記組成物が、促進剤、活性剤、化学発泡剤、および物理発泡剤からなる群から選択される添加剤を含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記スポンジバルブ部材が、約0.40g/ccまでの吹込み比重を示す、請求項8に記載の方法。
