Abstract
【解決手段】(a)ポリプロピレンと、(b)(i)コポリマーの重量に対して1から30重量%以下のビニル芳香族残基と、(ii)コポリマーの重量に対して少なくとも60重量%のC4以上であるアルキレン残基とを含むビニル芳香族化合物とアルキレン化合物の水素化コポリマーと、加工油(f)とを含有することを特徴とする熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物。

Description
本出願は、発明の名称「内装スキン層用のスラッシュ成形可能な熱可塑性ポリオレフィン調合物」として2004年11月5日に出願した米国特許出願第10/983,010号の優先権を主張するものである。
本発明は、概括的には、所与の温度で溶融粘度が低減された熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物、より詳細には、より低い加工温度が必要とされる回転成形用の熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物に関する。
熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物は、ポリ塩化ビニル、熱可塑性ポリウレタン、および/または再循環ポリマーから作製される製造品向けの代替材料として活発に検討されている。熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物は、自動車分野では、計器パネルスキン層、ドアパネル、エアバッグカバー、およびシートカバーを含めての内装被覆材料などの物品を製造するために使用されている。これらの物品の多くは、外形および幾何学的人工木目などの複雑な表面特徴を備えた表面外観およびデザインを有する。
加工上の利点または最終性能特性をいかなる点においても失うことなく、溶融粘度を低下させた熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物を開示するものである。
これらおよび他の特徴および利点は、以下の図面の簡単な説明、詳細な説明、および添付の特許請求の範囲および図面から明らかであろう。
本明細書では、熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物および該組成物を調製するための方法を説明する。本発明は、該組成物から調製される製造品にも関するものである。
(i)コポリマーの重量に対して1から30重量%以下のビニル芳香族残基と、(ii)水素化前でコポリマー(b)の全アルキレン含有量の重量に対して55から98重量%のC4以上であるアルキレン残基とを含む水素化ビニル芳香族アルキレンコポリマー(b)と、(f)加工油とを含む。
さらなる他の実施形態では、開示のポリオレフィン組成物は、任意選択の官能化ポリオレフィン(c)および任意選択のモノアミン終端ポリアルキレンオキシドをさらに含むであろう。
適切な加工油(f)の例示的な例は、主としてパラフィン性成分を含む炭化水素系油を含む相溶性の加工油である。一実施形態では、加工油(f)は、非芳香族加工油であろう。
任意選択のポリエーテルアミンと反応し、任意選択のポリエーテルアミンと反応した後、所与のポリオレフィンと一般に適合性である任意の任意選択の官能化ポリオレフィンが、開示の熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物において用い得る。
任意選択の官能化ポリオレフィン(c)および任意選択のポリエーテルアミン(d)は、熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物を調製する間または調製した後いずれかで熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物に加えてよい。さらに、任意選択の官能化ポリオレフィン(c)および任意選択のポリエーテルアミン(d)は、別々に、または予め混合した組合せのいずれかで熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物に加えてよい。従って、官能化ポリオレフィン(c)とポリエーテルアミン(d)を混合して付加化合物が形成されるステップは、開示の熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物を調製する前または調製する間いずれかで行われ得る。従って、官能化ポリオレフィン(c)とポリエーテルアミン(d)を反応させて付加化合物を形成するステップは、バッチミキサー、連続ミキサー、ニーダー、および押出機を含めての通常の混合装置において行い得ることが理解されよう。大部分の用途では、混合装置は、押出機であろう。
一実施形態では、任意選択のポリマー成分(e)は、エチレン系ゴムなどのエチレンコポリマーエラストマーでよい。適切なエチレンコポリマーエラストマーとして、限定されないが、約−70℃以下のガラス転移温度を有するエチレン−プロピレン、エチレン−ブテン、エチレン−オクテン、エチレン−ペンテン、エチレン−ヘキセンコポリマーなど、ならびに前記エチレンコポリマーエラストマーの少なくとも1つを含む組合せが挙げられる。一実施形態では、任意選択のポリマー成分(e)は、エチレンコポリマーエラストマーとして、ポリマー成分全ての0から30重量%の量において存在してよく、一方、他の実施形態では、任意選択のポリマー成分(e)は、エチレンコポリマーエラストマーとして、ポリマー成分全ての15から25重量%の量において存在してよい。
以下の実施例は、本発明を例示する。これらの実施例は、例示のために提供されており、本発明を限定するものではないことは理解されよう。実施例では、別段の指示がない限り、部数およびパーセンテージは全て、組成物の全重量に対する重量基準である。
以下のTPO組成物を、以下の表2に従って、溶融混合することによって調製した。粉末に加工した後、試料は、図3および4に示すような試験結果であった。
Claims (17)
- (a)ポリプロピレンと、
(b)水素化コポリマー(b)の重量に対して1から30重量%以下のビニル芳香族残基と、コポリマー(b)を水素化する前で全アルキレン含有量に対して少なくとも55重量%のC4以上であるアルキレン残基とを含む、ビニル芳香族化合物とアルキレン化合物の水素化コポリマー(b)と、
(f)加工油と
を含む、溶融粘度が低下した熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物。 - (a)、(b)および(f)の得られた組成物が、(f)を含まない、(a)および(b)からなる組成物と比較して、より低い秩序/無秩序転移温度を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- (c)官能化ポリオレフィンと、
(d)モノアミン終端ポリアルキレンオキシドと
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。 - 官能化ポリオレフィン(c)およびモノアミン終端ポリアルキレンオキシド(d)が、0.1:9.9から9.9:0.1の付加化合物:コポリマー比で、コポリマー(b)と熱力学的に混合可能である付加化合物を形成する、請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 水素化コポリマー(b)が、水素化コポリマー(b)の重量に対して(i)5から20重量%のビニル芳香族残基を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 水素化コポリマー(b)が、水素化コポリマー(b)の重量に対して(i)5から15重量%のビニル芳香族残基を含む、請求項5に記載の組成物。
- 水素化コポリマー(b)が、コポリマー(b)を水素化する前で全アルキレン含有量に対して、(ii)少なくとも60重量%のC4以上であるアルキレン残基を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 水素化コポリマー(b)が、コポリマー(b)を水素化する前で全アルキレン含有量に対して、(ii)60から95重量%のC4以上であるアルキレン残基を含む、請求項7に記載の組成物。
- 水素化コポリマー(b)が、コポリマー(b)を水素化する前で全アルキレン含有量に対して、(ii)60から90重量%のC4以上であるアルキレン残基を含む、請求項8に記載の組成物。
- 水素化コポリマー(b)が、コポリマー(b)を水素化する前で全アルキレン含有量に対して、(ii)70から90重量%のC4以上であるアルキレン残基を含む、請求項9に記載の組成物。
- 水素化コポリマー(b)のガラス転移温度(Tg)が、0℃より低く、−90℃より高いことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 水素化コポリマー(b)のガラス転移温度(Tg)が、−20℃と−60℃の間にあることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- (a)ポリプロピレンと、
(b)(i)コポリマー(b)の重量に対して1から30重量%以下のビニル芳香族残基と、
(ii)コポリマー(b)の重量に対して少なくとも60重量%のC4以上であるアルキレン残基と
を含む、ビニル芳香族化合物とアルキレン化合物の水素化コポリマー(b)と、
(f)加工油と
を合わせるステップを含む、ODTシフトが低下した熱可塑性ポリオレフィン組成物を作製する方法。 - 請求項1に記載の組成物を金型に適用することによって成形スキン層を作製するステップと、
ポリマー系組成物をスキン層の少なくとも1つの表面に適用するステップと
を含み、ポリマー系組成物が、接着用プライマー、プラズマ表面処理、火炎表面処理、またはコロナ放電表面処理からなる群から選択される接着向上技法を使用することなく成形スキン層に接着する、成形複合材を作製する方法。 - ポリマー系組成物が、発泡体またはコーティングのうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 発泡体が、ポリウレタン発泡体である、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 請求項14に記載の方法によって作製される成形品。
