Abstract
【解決手段】NOxセンサのセパレータ60(先端側セパレータ61および後端側セパレータ66)の表面に、フッ素またはフッ素化合物からなるコーティング層64,69を形成した。コーティング層64,69は、水密性および撥水性を有する。たとえ外筒30内の雰囲気に水分が含まれ、セパレータ60の表面で結露したとしても、水密性を有するコーティング層64,69によってセパレータ60に水分が染み込むことがなく、ゆえにセパレータ60の絶縁性を確保できる。また、撥水性を有するコーティング層64,69によってセパレータ60の表面で水滴が広がり水膜を形成することもなく、水膜を媒介した漏れ電流が生ずることもない。

Claims (4)
- 軸線方向に延び、特定ガスの濃度を検出するための検出素子と、
前記検出素子の径方向周囲を取り囲んで保持する主体金具と、
前記主体金具の後端側に取り付けられ、前記検出素子の後端側を取り囲む外筒と、
絶縁セラミックからなり、前記外筒内に配置され、自身の内部に、少なくとも、前記検出素子との電気的な接続を行う複数の導通部材を収容するセパレータと、
を備え、
少なくとも、前記セパレータの表面に、水密性を有するコーティング層が形成されていることを特徴とするガスセンサ。 - 前記コーティング層は、撥水性を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガスセンサ。
- 前記コーティング層は、ガラスからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のガスセンサ。
- 前記検出素子は、後端部に、前記導通部材との電気的な接続を行う電極パッドを有し、
前記セパレータは、さらに、前記検出素子の前記後端部を、内部に収容し、
前記導通部材と前記電極パッドとの電気的な接続は、前記セパレータ内で行われることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のガスセンサ。
