Description
(a)式(1):
R1、R2、R3、R4、R5及びR6は互いに独立して、水素、シアノ、C1−C4アルキル、C1−C4アルコキシ、C1−C4ヒドロキシアルキル、好ましくはC2−C4ヒドロキシアルキルを表し、ここでアルキルは直鎖若しくは分岐鎖である;あるいはR3とR4若しくはR5とR6は互いに独立してN原子と一緒になってモルホリン、ピペリジン若しくはピロリジン環;または−(CH2)l−SO3M(ここでlは1、2若しくは3を表す);または
Mは水素または、カチオンの一等価物、特にLi、Na、K、Ca、Mg、アンモニウムまたは、C1−C4アルキル若しくはC2−C4ヒドロキシアルキルにより一、二、三若しくは四置換されているアンモニウムを表す}
の少なくとも一種の蛍光増白剤(fluorescent whitening agent:FWA);
(b)二価カチオンの少なくとも一種の塩;
(c)少なくとも一種のキャリヤ;及び
(d)水
を含む、前記組成物に関する。
塩化カルシウムの存在下における種々の蛍光増白剤の増白性能を、サイズプレス用途に関する以下の試験手順を使用して調査した。
本発明のFWA及び比較例FWAの増白性能を、二価カチオンのカルシウム、マグネシウム及びバリウムの塩(CaCl2、MgCl2及びBaCl2)の存在下で調査した。
本発明のFWAは、以下の式をもつFWA3であった。
得られた結果を以下の表2に記載し、さらに図2にも示す。
塩化カルシウムの存在下における本発明の様々なFWAと比較例のFWAの増白性能を調査した。試験手順は、実施例1で使用したものと同一試験手順であった。塩化カルシウムの量は、以下の表3に示すように、100gでんぷん調製物をベースとして0及び2gであった。FWAの使用量は、これも表3に示されているように、100gでんぷん調製物をベースとして0.28gであった。本発明のFWAは、実施例1に記載のFWA1及びFWA2、実施例2に記載のFWA3と以下のFWA4であった。
得られた結果を以下の表3及び図3に示す。
Claims (15)
- 紙の表面処理に適した組成物であって、前記組成物は
(a)式(1):
{式中、m及びnは互いに独立して0〜3の整数を表し;
R1、R2、R3、R4、R5及びR6は互いに独立して、水素、シアノ、C1−C4アルキル、C1−C4アルコキシ、C1−C4ヒドロキシアルキル、好ましくはC2−C4ヒドロキシアルキルを表し、ここでアルキルは直鎖若しくは分岐鎖である;あるいはR3とR4若しくはR5とR6は互いに独立してN原子と一緒になってモルホリン、ピペリジン若しくはピロリジン環;または−(CH2)l−SO3M(ここでlは1、2若しくは3を表す);または
(ここで−SO3M基はo−、m−またはp−位であり得、kは1〜3の整数である);または−(C1−C4アルキレン)−COOR、−(C1−C4アルキレン)−CONHR、−(C1−C4アルキレン)−COR、好ましくは−(CH2)i−COOR、−(CH2)i−CONHR、−(CH2)i−COR(ここでアルキレンは直鎖若しくは分岐鎖であり、iは1〜4の整数であり、RはC1−C3アルキルであるか、Mに等しい)を形成し、
Mは水素または、カチオンの一等価物、特にLi、Na、K、Ca、Mg、アンモニウムまたは、C1−C4アルキル若しくはC2−C4ヒドロキシアルキルにより一、二、三若しくは四置換されているアンモニウムを表す}
の少なくとも一種の蛍光増白剤;
(b)二価カチオンの少なくとも一種の塩;
(c)少なくとも一種のキャリヤ;及び
(d)水
を含む、前記組成物。 - n及びmは1であり、R3及びR5は両方とも−CH2CH2SO3Mである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- R1、R2、R4及びR6は水素である、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- n及びmは1であり、R1、R2、R4及びR6は水素であり、R3及びR5は両方とも2,5−位置で二つの−SO3M基で置換されているフェニルである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- R3及びR5は両方とも−CH2CH2SO3Mであり、R1、R2、R4及びR6の少なくとも一つは−(CH2)k−SO3Mであり、kは1、2または3である、請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- MはNaまたはKである、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 成分(b)の塩が塩化カルシウムである、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 成分(c)のキャリヤは、カルボキシメチルセルロース、ポリビニルアルコール、でんぷん、及びその混合物から選択される、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記キャリヤはでんぷんである、請求項8に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物は組成物100重量%をベースとして、成分(a)を0.02〜3重量%、成分(b)を0.2〜8重量%及び成分(c)を3〜20重量%の量で含む、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物はサイズプレス液である、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物はサイジング剤を含む、請求項11に記載の組成物。
- セルロースシートを請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の組成物と接触させることを特徴とする、紙を増白するためのプロセス。
- セルロースシートとの接触はサイズプレスで実施する、請求項13に記載のプロセス。
- 請求項13または14に従ったプロセスにより得られる紙。
