Abstract
【解決手段】クリーニングロール100>帯電ロール14とすることで、帯電ロール14の端部まで確実にクリーニングすることができ、帯電ロール14の良好なクリーニング性能が得られる。また、帯電ロール14の軸方向の端部において、放電による放電生成物の付着や紙粉の付着等による汚染が生じることはなく、帯電ロール14による感光体ドラム12への良好な帯電性と、感光体ドラム12の長寿命化を図ることができる。

Claims (1)
- 画像を担持する像担持体を帯電する帯電ロールと、
前記帯電ロールの軸長より長く形成され、前記帯電ロールに当接して、該帯電ロールをクリーニングする帯電ロールクリーニング部材と、
を備え、
前記帯電ロールクリーニング部材がロール状を成し、前記帯電ロールの軸方向端部と前記帯電ロールクリーニング部材の軸方向端部との少なくとも一方に、前記帯電ロールと前記帯電ロールクリーニング部材とが非接触となるように外径が減少する外径減少部を設けて、前記帯電ロールクリーニング部材と前記帯電ロールの接触する部分の押圧力を帯電ロールの軸方向端部へ行くに従って減少させる帯電装置。
