Abstract
【解決手段】樹脂管の端部間に配置されて通電されることにより樹脂管の端部を熱融着させて接合する樹脂管の熱融着具を、電気絶縁性の材質からなる環状のシート状基材11と、シート状基材11の内周縁と外周縁間の部分に巻き付けられた電熱線25と、電熱線25が巻き付けられたシート状基材11の両面に接着した電気絶縁性の材質からなる環状のシート状カバー材31A、31Aとで構成し、電熱線25の両端を電源との接続部とした。

Description
まず、被覆材用の熱融着具を作成する。高密度ポリエチレンシート(厚み0.3mm)を、内径35.0mm、外径72.0mmの環状に打ち抜き、その内周縁及び外周縁に中心角10度の間隔で切り欠きを形成して環状のシート状基材を形成した。その切り欠きに電熱線(ニクロム線、20Ω/m)を嵌めながら、シート状基材の内周縁と外周縁間の部分に電熱線を巻き付けた。巻き付けた電熱線の全体の抵抗値は22.7Ω、電熱線の長さは約1130mmであった。次に、電熱線を巻き付けたシート状基材の両面に、シート状基材よりも大きいポリエチレンシート(厚み0.2mm)を積層して熱プレスすることにより、シート状基材の両面にポリエチレンシートを融着させて貼り付けた。その後、シート状基材両面のポリエチレンシートを内径30mm、外径75mmで切断し、余分な部分を切除して、電熱線が巻き付けられたシート状基材の両面にシート状カバー材が接着された熱融着具を作成した。
融着対象を前記のポリエチレンフォームの保温材(被覆材)に代えて、配管自体であるポリエチレンパイプ(配管)についても、接合部のシール性及び接合強度を調べた。
まず、配管用の熱融着具を作成した。ポリエチレンシート(厚み0.3mm)を、内径35.0mm、外径41.0mmの環状に打ち抜き、その内周縁及び外周縁に中心角9度の間隔で切り欠きを形成して環状のシート状基材を形成した。上記と同様、その切り欠きに電熱線(ニクロム線、20Ω/m)を巻き付けた。巻き付けた電熱線の全体の抵抗値は4.4Ω、電熱線の長さは約222mmであった。次に、電熱線を巻き付けたシート状基材の両面に、ポリエチレンシート(厚み0.2mm)を積層して熱プレスにより融着させて貼り付けた。その後、シート状基材両面のポリエチレンシートを内径30mm、外径42mmで切断し、余分な部分を切除して、電熱線が巻き付けられたシート状基材の両面にシート状カバー材が接着された熱融着具を作成した。

Claims (8)
- 樹脂管の端部間に配置されて通電されることにより樹脂管の端部を熱融着させて接合する樹脂管の熱融着具において、電気絶縁性の材質からなる環状のシート状基材の内周縁と外周縁間の部分に電熱線が巻き付けられ、前記電熱線の両端が電源との接続部とされていることを特徴とする樹脂管の熱融着具。
- 前記シート状基材の内周縁と外周縁の複数箇所に電熱線固定用切り欠きが形成され、前記電熱線固定用切り欠きに嵌って前記電熱線がシート状基材に巻き付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の樹脂管の熱融着具。
- 前記シート状基材が熱溶融可能な材質からなることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の樹脂管の熱融着具。
- 前記シート基材の内周縁と外周縁の間が分断されて前記熱融着具の内外を通じる分断部が前記シート基材に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の樹脂管の熱融着具。
- 前記電熱線が巻き付けられたシート状基材の両面に、電気絶縁性の材質からなる環状のシート状カバー材が接着されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の樹脂管の熱融着具。
- 前記シート状カバー材の内周縁または外周縁の何れか一方又は両方に外方へ突出したフランジが形成され、前記内周縁のフランジは前記樹脂管の端部の内周縁に嵌合する内周縁位置決め部とされ、一方、前記外周縁のフランジは前記樹脂管の端部の外周縁に嵌合する外周縁位置決め部とされることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の樹脂管の熱融着具。
- 前記シート状基材と前記シート状カバー材の内周縁と外周縁の間が分断されて前記熱融着具の内外を通じる分断部が前記シート状基材と前記シート状カバー材に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載の樹脂管の熱融着具。
- 前記シート状基材及び前記シート状カバー材が熱溶融可能な材質からなることを特徴とする請求項5から7の何れか一項に記載の樹脂管の熱融着具。
