Abstract

Claims (4)
- 剥離剤を供給するリザーバと、
リザーバから剥離剤を受け取り、剥離剤を、処理方向に移動する画像形成装置の中間画像形成表面に塗布するように構成されるアプリケータと、
中間画像形成表面に隣接して、第1位置にワイパーモードで配置され、アプリケータによって塗付された中間画像形成表面上の剥離剤を計量するように構成される第1計量ブレードと、
中間画像形成表面に隣接して、第2位置にワイパーモードで配置される第2計量ブレードと、
第2計量ブレードに操作可能に接続され、両面印刷ジョブの第1の側を印刷する際には、アプリケータによって中間画像形成表面に塗付された剥離剤をさらに計量するために、中間画像形成表面と係合するように第2計量ブレードを移動させ、片面印刷ジョブを印刷する際および両面印刷ジョブの第2面を印刷する際には、中間画像形成表面と係合解除するように第2計量ブレードを移動させるよう構成される第2計量ブレード位置決めシステムと
を備える画像形成装置に使用するドラムメンテナンスシステム。 - 請求項1のシステムにおいて、
第2計量ブレード位置決めシステムは、予め定められた部数の印刷物を第1計量ブレードのみを用いて印刷した後に、第2計量ブレードを中間画像形成表面と係合するように、および係合解除するように移動させはじめるよう構成されるシステム。 - 請求項1のシステムにおいて、
第1計量ブレードに操作可能に接続され、アプリケータによって中間画像形成表面に塗付された剥離剤を計量するために、何れかの印刷ジョブの一方面を印刷する際には、中間画像形成表面と係合するように第1計量ブレードを移動させ、何れかの印刷ジョブの一方側印刷後には、中間画像形成表面と係合解除するように、第1計量ブレードを移動させるよう構成される第1計量ブレード位置決めシステムをさらに備える請求項1のシステム。 - 処理方向に移動するように構成される中間画像形成表面と、
溶融した相転移インクを中間画像形成表面上に噴出するように構成される少なくとも1つのプリントヘッドと、
ドラムメンテナンスユニットとを備え、
ドラムメンテナンスユニットは、
剥離剤を供給するリザーバと、
リザーバから剥離剤を受け取り、剥離剤を中間画像形成表面に塗布するように構成されるアプリケータと、
中間画像形成表面に隣接して、第1位置にワイパーモードで配置され、アプリケータによって塗付された中間画像形成表面上の剥離剤を計量するように構成される第1計量ブレードと、
中間画像形成表面に隣接して、第2位置にワイパーモードで配置される第2計量ブレードと、
第2計量ブレードに操作可能に接続され、両面印刷ジョブの第1面を印刷する際には、アプリケータによって中間画像形成表面に塗付された剥離剤をさらに計量するために、中間画像形成表面と係合するように第2計量ブレードを移動させ、片面印刷ジョブを印刷する際および両面印刷ジョブの第2面を印刷する際には、中間画像形成表面と係合解除するように、第2計量ブレードを移動させるよう構成される第2計量ブレード位置決めシステムと
を含む相転移インク画像形成装置。
