Abstract
【解決手段】基板本体と、前記基板本体上に順に積層形成された第1電極、有機発光層、及び第2電極を含む有機発光素子と、前記有機発光素子上に形成された選択的反射膜と、前記選択的反射膜上に配置された位相遅延フィルムと、前記位相遅延フィルム上に形成された第1線偏光フィルムと、前記第1線偏光フィルム上に形成されたねじれネマチック液晶層と、前記ねじれネマチック液晶層上に形成された液晶駆動電極と、前記液正駆動電極上に形成された第2線偏光フィルムと、を含む。

Claims (18)
- 基板本体と、
前記基板本体上に順に積層形成された第1電極、有機発光層、及び第2電極を有する有機発光素子と、
前記有機発光素子上に形成された選択的反射膜と、
前記選択的反射膜上に配置された位相遅延フィルムと、
前記位相遅延フィルム上に形成された第1線偏光フィルムと、
前記第1線偏光フィルム上に形成されたねじれネマチック液晶層と、
前記ねじれネマチック液晶層上に形成された液晶駆動電極と、
前記液晶駆動電極上に形成された第2線偏光フィルムと、
を含むことを特徴とする有機発光表示装置。 - 前記有機発光素子が光を放出する時には、前記有機発光素子の第2電極と前記液晶駆動電極の間に電界が印加され、
前記有機発光素子が光を放出しない時には、前記有機発光素子の第2電極と前記液晶駆動電極の間に電界が印加されないことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記有機発光素子の第2電極と前記液晶駆動電極の間に電界が印加された状態では、前記ねじれネマチック液晶層内の液晶分子が前記液晶駆動電極と交差する方向に垂直配列されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記第2線偏光フィルムを通過することで線偏光された光は、前記ねじれネマチック液晶層及び前記第1線偏光フィルムを透過することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記第1線偏光フィルムを通過することで線偏光された光は、前記ねじれネマチック液晶層及び前記第2線偏光フィルムを透過することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記有機発光素子の第2電極と前記液晶駆動電極の間に電界が印加されない状態では、前記ねじれネマチック液晶層内の液晶分子が前記液晶駆動電極と平行な方向に水平配列されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記水平配列された液晶分子の中で、前記液晶駆動電極に隣接した液晶分子と、前記第1線偏光フィルムに隣接した液晶分子は、90度の角度でねじれるように配列されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記水平配列された液晶分子の中で、前記液晶駆動電極に隣接した液晶分子の配列方向は、前記第2線偏光フィルムの偏光軸方向と一致することを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記水平配列された液晶分子の中で、前記第1線偏光フィルムに隣接した液晶分子の配列方向は、前記第1線偏光フィルムの偏光軸方向と90度の交角を成すことを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記ねじれネマチック液晶層を通過した光の軸方向は、前記第1線偏光フィルムの偏光軸方向と交差することを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記第1線偏光フィルムの偏光軸方向と前記第2線偏光フィルムの偏光軸方向は一致することを特徴とする、請求項1乃至10のいずれか一つに記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記選択的反射膜はコレステリック液晶膜であることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記選択的反射膜は、左円偏光された光と右円偏光された光のうちのいずれか一つは通過させ、他の一つは反射させることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記第1線偏光フィルムを通過した線偏光された光は、前記位相遅延フィルムを通過することで円偏光に変わることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記位相遅延フィルムを通過して円偏光された光は、前記選択的反射膜を透過することを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記位相遅延フィルムは1/4波長フィルムであり、前記位相遅延フィルムの光軸と前記第1線偏光フィルムの偏光軸の間の交角は45度であることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記選択的反射膜を通過した、円偏光された光が前記位相遅延フィルムを通過することで前記第1線偏光フィルムの偏光軸方向と同一の方向に線偏光されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記有機発光素子は、前記ねじれネマチック液晶層方向に光を放出することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の有機発光表示装置。
