Description
・可燃性混合気が導入される容量可変な主チャンバー(主室)と、
・主チャンバー内に開いている補助チャンバー(補助室)と、
・補助チャンバーを主チャンバーに連通するか、あるいは、主チャンバーから補助チャンバーを隔離する制御手段とを備える機関が開示されている。
・可燃性混合気が導入される容量可変な主チャンバーと、
・主チャンバー内に開いている補助チャンバーと、
・補助チャンバーを主チャンバーに連通するか、あるいは、主チャンバーから補助チャンバーを隔離する制御手段とを備える内燃機関における燃焼を開始させる方法を提供する。
Claims (5)
- 可燃性混合気が導入される容量可変な主チャンバー(5)と、
前記主チャンバー内に開かれている補助チャンバー(10)と、
前記補助チャンバーを前記主チャンバーに連通するか、あるいは、前記補助チャンバーを前記主チャンバーから隔離する制御手段(11、14、15)とを有する内燃機関における燃焼を開始させる方法であって、
圧縮行程と膨張行程との間における上死点を含む期間中において、前記補助チャンバーを前記主チャンバーに連通させるように前記制御手段を制御するステップを有する、ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記期間は、前記上死点周辺の±30°の範囲にわたる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記補助チャンバー(10)は、前記補助チャンバーに閉じ込められた既燃ガスの冷え込みを制限するように断熱される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記制御手段を開放する時期及び前記制御手段の開放期間の両方またはいずれか一方が変更される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一つの請求項に記載の方法を実行するように形成された内燃機関であって、
可燃性混合気が導入される容量可変な主チャンバー(5)と、
前記主チャンバー内に開かれている補助チャンバー(10)と、
前記補助チャンバーを前記主チャンバーに連通するか、あるいは、前記補助チャンバーを前記主チャンバーから隔離する制御手段(11、14、15)とを具備し、
前記制御手段は、前記補助チャンバーの方に向く座部(16)と協働する制御バルブ(11)を具備し、前記主チャンバー内の圧力よりも高い圧力となる前記補助チャンバー内の圧力により、前記制御バルブを前記座部に対して確実に閉鎖位置に配置する、ことを特徴とする内燃機関。
