Abstract

Description
細長い(長尺の)キャリアと;
キャリアの遠位端またはその近傍に配置される第1ループと;
第1ループ上に担持されて、患者の体の不規則電気活性を検知するための少なくとも一つの検知電極と;
第1ループに対して定まった配向で、キャリア上、第1ループより近位に配置された少なくとも一本のさらに別のループと;
第2ループ上に担持されて、不規則電気活性が発生する患者の体の部位を除去するための少なくとも1つのアブレーション電極と
を含むアブレーションカテーテルが提供される。
遠位端に画成されるループを有する長尺のキャリアであって、ループは第1アームおよび第2アームを備え、ループのアームは、互いに少なくとも一部が電気的に絶縁された、前記キャリアと;、
ループの各アーム上に配置される少なくとも1つの電極と
を含む。
外周を画成する長尺キャリアと;
前記外周上に支持される少なくとも1つのアブレーション電極であって、前記少なくとも1つのアブレーション電極は、キャリア外周廻りに部分的にだけ配置されるようになした前記アブレーション電極と
を含む。
Claims (27)
- 長尺のキャリアと;
前記キャリアの遠位端またはその近傍に配置される第1ループと;
患者の体の不規則電気活性を検知するための前記第1ループに支持される少なくとも一つの検知電極と;
前記キャリア上の前記第1ループより近位に、前記第1ループに対して固定された配向で配置される少なくとも一本のさらに別のループと;
不規則電気活性が発生する患者の体の部位を除去するための前記第2ループ上に支持される少なくとも1つのアブレーション電極と
を含むアブレーションカテーテル。 - 前記第1ループ廻りに円周方向に離間して配置される複数の検知電極と;前記第2ループ廻りに円周方向に離間して配置される複数のアブレーション電極とを含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記キャリアに沿って長手方向に見た時、前記第2ループの前記各アブレーション電極が、前記第1ループの検知電極と整列している、請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記長尺キャリアは、ルーメンを画成する管状部材と、前記ループを形成するための、前記ルーメンに支持された形状形成部材とを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記管状部材を前記第1ループおよび前記第2ループの電極用の導電体のための芯として機能させ、前記導電体を前記管状部材の外表面廻りに配置し、絶縁材料の皮膜で覆っている、請求項4に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記管状部材はそれ自体を折り返して、遠位ヘアピンと、前記ヘアピンから延びる一対のリムとを形成し、前記リムは一対の近位端を有し、前記ループは前記リムにより支持され、前記各ループの大きさは少なくとも一つの前記リムの前記近位端の適切な操作により調整可能である、請求項5に記載のカテーテル。
- 電気絶縁のための不連続部分を前記両ループ間に配置して、前記第1ループの前記導電体を、前記第2ループの前記導電体から絶縁している、請求項6に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記第2ループは、前記不連続部分の手前の前記リムの一つに配置され、同様に、前記第1ループは、前記不連続部分と前記ヘアピンとの間ではなく前記第1リムに配置され、前記第2ループの前記アブレーション電極用の前記導電体は、前記一方のリムに沿って延び、前記第1ループの前記検知電極用の前記導電体は、前記他方のリムに沿って延び、前記ヘアピンを通って前記一方のリムに入っている、請求項7に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記アブレーション電極は検知機能も実行するようになっている、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
- 患者の体に前記カテーテルを導入するための円筒形の導入部材を含み、前記キャリアは前記導入部材の通路に摺動可能に支持され、前記ループが前記導入通路に圧縮した形で収容される第1の引き込み位置と、前記ループが拡張してループ形状となり前記導入部材の遠位端より遠くに前記ループが配置される第2の拡張形との間を、前記導入部材に対して摺動可能である、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記ループが前記第2の拡張形にあるとき、前記各ループは前記キャリアの長手方向軸を横切る面内に在る、請求項10に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記各電極はカフ型として前記キャリア外周の一部だけを拡張させ、前記配置は前記電極を前記ループの外側に配置する、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
- 少なくとも前記第2ループの前記電極の少なくとも特定の各電極は、その電極に関連する温度測定機能を有する、請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 遠位端に画成されるループを有する長尺キャリアであって、前記ループは第1アームおよび第2アームを備え、前記ループの前記アームは、互いに少なくとも一部が電気的に絶縁されるようになした、前記長尺キャリアと;
前記ループの前記各アーム上に配置される少なくとも1つの電極と
を含むアブレーションカテーテル。 - 前記各アームは複数の電極を支持する、請求項14に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記キャリアは、ルーメンを画成する管状部材を備え、形状形成部材が前記ループを形成するために前記ルーメン内で支持される、請求項14または請求項15に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記管状部材は、前記ループの前記少なくとも1つの電極用の導電体のための芯として動作してもよく、前記導電体は、前記管状部材の外周廻りに配置され、絶縁材料の皮膜で覆われている、請求項16に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記管状部材は、それ自体を折り返して、遠位ヘアピン、および前記ヘアピンから延びる一対のリムを形成し、前記各リムは近位端を有し、前記ループの前記アームは、前記ヘアピン対向面の前記リムの遠位部分により画成される、請求項17に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記ループの前記アームは、前記ループの遠位端で互いに電気絶縁される、請求項18に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記管状部材は、前記アームの前記遠位端で電気絶縁する不連続部分を含む、請求項19に記載のカテーテル。
- 温度測定機能は、前記少なくとも特定の導電体と関連させることができる、請求項14〜20のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記電極は、前記ループの外側だけで動作するように形成される、請求項14〜20のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記各電極は、半円筒形、またはカフ型である、請求項22に記載のカテーテル。
- 外周を画成する長尺のキャリアと;
前記キャリア外周廻りに部分的にだけ配置され、前記外周上に支持される少なくとも1つのアブレーション電極と
を含むアブレーションカテーテル。 - 前記ループの外周は、前記キャリアで支持する少なくとも一本のループの半径方向の外側であってもよく、前記少なくとも1つの電極が、前記少なくとも一本のループの半径方向の外側廻りに部分的に支持される、請求項24に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電極は半円筒形である、請求項24または請求項25に記載のカテーテル。
- アブレーションを発生させるエネルギー源は、高周波、マイクロ波、超音波、レーザーおよび凍結切除エネルギーを含むグループから選択される、請求項1〜26のいずれか一項に記載のカテーテル。
