Description

In some transport units, the temperature control system must maintain the desired temperature (ie, the set temperature) by cooling and heating the cargo space. The control device controls the condition of the cargo space by switching the temperature control unit between the heating mode and the cooling mode based on the difference between the detected temperature and the set temperature. Typically, the temperature control system can operate a conventional refrigeration cycle that utilizes a phase change refrigerant to cool the cargo space. The refrigerant is compressed by a compressor and liquefied and vaporized in a heat exchanger that exchanges heat with the cargo space to cool the cargo space. Heating is generally accomplished by sending the refrigerant compressed through the condenser and in the hot state directly to a heat exchanger that exchanges heat with the cargo space to heat the cargo space.
