具体例として、マグネシウムおよび鉄は共に、その原子番号が低いことにより、放射線不透過性が低い。したがって、これらの金属で作成された2つの隣接するステント(または、それらの合金で作成されたステント、特に低い原子番号を有する付加的成分を有するもの)を同一の処置で配置することは、最初に配置されたステントをX線撮像で見ることができないことから問題となる場合がある。したがって、特定の実施形態において、放射線不透過性コーティング、例えば金の微粒子を含有するコーティングを備えたこれらの生分解性ステントを提供することが有利となる。
導電性ポリマーコーティングに使用するポリ複素環は、ポリピロール、ポリチオフェンならびにそれらの誘導体およびコポリマーを含める。上記のPANIおよびPPVでのように、種々の官能基(例えば、ポリ(3−アルキルピロール)およびポリ(3−アルキルチオフェン)がアルキル誘導体の例である)を導入することによって、これらの物質のポリマー主鎖を改変することが知られており、またこのようなポリマーを形成するのに、化学または電気化学重合技術が利用されてよい。さらなる情報は、例えば上記のP.Zarras、およびそこに引用される参考文献を参照のこと。
Claims (38)
- 生分解性金属領域と、被験者の中に植え込まれると、前記生分解性領域の腐食率を遅くする前記生分解性金属領域上のポリマー耐腐食コーティングとを有する植え込み可能医療デバイス。
- 前記植え込み可能医療デバイスが、フィルタ、塞栓形成デバイス、心筋プラグ、組織バルキングデバイス、組織工学スカフォルド、皮下パッチ、縫合糸、縫合糸アンカー、組織ステープル、結紮クリップ、金属ワイヤ結紮糸、整形外科用プロテーゼ、整形外科用固定デバイス、および接合プロテーゼから選択される、請求項1に記載の植え込み可能医療デバイス。
- 前記植え込み可能医療デバイスが、ステントである、請求項1に記載の植え込み可能医療デバイス。
- 前記生分解性金属領域が、鉄または鉄合金である、請求項1に記載の植え込み可能医療デバイス。
- 前記生分解性金属領域が、マグネシウムまたはマグネシウム合金である、請求項1に記載の植え込み可能医療デバイス。
- 前記生分解性金属領域が、植え込み可能医療デバイスの全体に一致する、請求項1に記載の植え込み可能医療デバイス。
- 前記生分解性金属領域が、植え込み可能医療デバイスの一構成要素に一致する、請求項1に記載の植え込み可能医療デバイス。

- 前記導電性ポリマーが、アニリン、ピロール、チオフェン、フェニレンビニレン、アニシジンおよびチオフラビンのホモポリマー、コポリマーおよび誘導体、ならびに同様の混合物から選択される、請求項19に記載の植え込み可能医療デバイス。

- 前記耐腐食コーティングが、10から200の層を有する、請求項29に記載の植え込み可能医療デバイス。
