Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide relative masks which are mutually mounted by a patient and a rescuer, so as to simultaneously perform artificial respiration without changing a position for cardiac massage.
SOLUTION: The relative masks include: the mask 1 on the side of the patient; the mask 2 on the side of rescue; and a connection hose 3. The masks are the perfect sealing type ones to be put over a mouth and a nose and have structures same as those of existing dust protective masks. The masks are flexible and made of polyvinyl chloride. The shape fits a face, i.e., meets the shape of the nose so as not to leak the air from the both sides of the nose. Contact surfaces with the connection hose are fixed with the use of an adhesive only for the polyvinyl chloride so as not to leak the air.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention provides the patient side and the rescuer side in order to perform first aid for resuscitation continuously in a posture in which the rescuer alone performs cardiac massage and artificial breathing at the same time for a patient with cardiopulmonary arrest. This invention relates to an invention of a “relative mask” in which a mask is attached to each other and a hose is connected between them to inhale exhaled air by artificial respiration.

Conventional masks include dust masks for general and industrial use. There are many types of masks that can breathe by blocking dirty air with things such as gas masks, and are technically established. (There are about 2,000 patents.)

Many types of oxygen masks have been technically established for entering an oxygen-deficient place, such as an oxygen inhalation mask and an oxygen mask for medical use that requires supplemental oxygen or for in-flight aircraft.

Conventionally, there is a resuscitation method by cardiopulmonary arrest. However, the ratio of patients who fall down and cannot recover from death due to inadequate first aid at an early stage is extremely high.
When cardiopulmonary arrest due to myocardial infarction, stroke, arrhythmia, etc. occurs, it is said that emergency treatment must be performed promptly. Even if an ambulance is requested immediately, it is extremely probable that it will arrive within 5 minutes The current situation is low.
If cardiopulmonary arrest occurs, it is said that 50% will die in 10 minutes after cardiac arrest and 50% in approximately 3 minutes after cardiac arrest.
Therefore, the current issue is how important the first aid is.
First aid is used to rescue the fallen patient until the ambulance arrives. However, there are many nuclear households in the current family, and many elderly couples are aging.
For this reason, the most important first-aid treatment within 2 to 3 minutes is insufficient, and in most cases, the patient cannot be recovered at this point and the death is caused.
That is, with the current first aid, it is difficult for a rescuer to perform heart massage and mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration at the same time alone, and it is difficult to perform a resuscitation method because reliable action cannot be taken.
Accordingly, the present invention has invented a method that can easily and reliably perform cardiac massage and artificial respiration at the same time alone.

When performing artificial breathing using the conventional mouth-to-mouth method, the airway is often obstructed because the patient first loses consciousness, so the head is bent back and raised to secure the airway. Confirm that the airway has been secured by performing the method, Fig. 4 and inhale exhalation into the patient by artificial respiration. Don't forget to pinch the patient's nose with the thumb and index finger to prevent air from leaking FIG.
This operation must be done quickly and reliably.

It is necessary to solve the action of repeating 15 cycles of cardiac massage and 2 cycles of artificial respiration. Therefore, the patient and rescuer wear the “relative mask” invented this time and change the position where heart massage is performed. By performing artificial respiration at the same time, it is possible to easily and reliably and without burdening the rescuer.

Securing the patient's airway and pinching the nose during artificial respiration may fail unless the person is skilled, but the invented “Relative Mask” has airway securing 4 so the mask should be used. The airway can be easily secured just by wearing it, and the action of pinching the nose when inhaling exhalation by artificial respiration becomes unnecessary.

Conventional first aid for patients with cardiopulmonary arrest is the most important time in the early stages, but it takes time to repeat the cycle of 15 heart massages and 2 artificial breaths using the mouth-to-mouth method. Because it was not done, the rate of death was high.
By using the invented “relative mask”, the death rate is greatly reduced by significantly reducing unnecessary time and establishing a reliable first aid.

Even if the first aid is unskilled, it can be easily done if there is a general knowledge. That is, the patient and the rescuer can wear the “relative mask” and perform the artificial breathing operation in which the breath of the rescuer is blown into the patient through the connected hoses while performing the cardiac massage alone. That is, it is an extremely simple method than the conventional first aid.

If the “relative mask” is set first, first aid can be continuously performed at the position where the heart massage is performed, so that the burden on the rescuer is reduced.

Conventionally, it is difficult for an unconscious patient to perform airway maintenance unless it is a skilled person, and it is necessary to repeat the airway operation every time artificial respiration is performed. The required time was reduced, leading to first aid failure.
If the patient side mask 1 of “relative mask” is attached, the airway securing hose 4 is provided, so that the airway is secured when the mask is attached to the patient, that is, until the patient recovers if the mask is attached once. You can inhale exhaled breath by artificial respiration.

When performing artificial breathing, it is necessary to pinch the patient's nose with the thumb and index finger to prevent the exhaled breath from leaking out, but forgetting this one place and performing first aid, the patient was able to recover There are many cases where things fail.
Therefore, since the invented mask is a hermetically sealed mask that covers the mouth and nose only by wearing the patient mask 1 of the “relative mask”, the above-mentioned failure is absolutely none.

The invented “relative mask” can be stored lightly and compactly, so it can be carried when going out.

“Relative masks” are inexpensive and can be relied upon at home to significantly improve security.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.

FIG. 1 is an overall view of a “relative mask” of the present invention. 1 is a completely sealed type in which the mouth and nose are closed with a mask on the patient side, and is the same in structure as an existing dust mask, and the material is also made of vinyl chloride. It is flexible and has a shape that hits the face, that is, it matches the shape of the nose so that air does not leak from both sides of the nose.
Fix the contact surface with the connecting hose with vinyl chloride adhesive to prevent air leakage.

Reference numeral 2 denotes a structure in which only the mouth is covered with the rescue side mask, but the material is the same as that of the 1 patient side mask, and the part under the nose is adapted to the shape of the upper lip.
The contact surface with the connection hose is the same as that of the one patient side mask.

The 3-connection hose shall be made of vinyl chloride containing wire and be flexible so that the hose will not break. The length of the hose is 80 cm, the outer diameter is 25φ, and the thickness is 2 mm. The contact surface with the mask is fixed with a vinyl chloride adhesive.

The 4 airway securing hose is integrated with the 3 connection hose on the patient side mask, but the length from the inner surface of the mask, which is an internal part of 1 patient side mask, is 8 cm.

The 5 mask fixing band is made of rubber and has flexibility to expand and contract.
Use a hard vinyl chloride stopper to fix the mask.

FIG. 2" is a sectional view of the mounting of the one patient side mask, and is a state diagram of the four airway securing hoses inserted into the mouth. The material, outer shape, and thickness are the same as those of the 3-connected hose.

“FIG. 3” is a scene diagram when the “relative mask” is mounted.
2. The rescue mask is a mask that covers only the mouth, and the nose sucks outside air and blows exhalation into the patient through the mouth. It is a figure showing the state.

FIG. 4 is a representative view of a dust mask most similar to the present invention.
Air line masks and manual blower type hose masks can be used to drive the outside air in places with high dust concentrations and to feed clean air from the hose into the mask. Similarity is that the hose is connected to the mask.
However, there is a difference in content from the structure of the present invention in which a mask is worn between rescuers relative to a patient with respiratory arrest.

FIG. 5 is a procedure diagram of first aid which is conventionally performed.
First, the conventional first aid procedure repeats a cycle of 15 heart massages and 2 artificial breaths.
First, the rescuer performs 15 heart massages, moves the body and comes close to the patient's face to secure the airway. Next, as shown in Fig. 5-2, the patient's nose is pinched to breathe into the patient twice by mouth-to-mouth, and then move again for cardiac massage. This operation is continued until the patient recovers. There must be.
