Abstract
【解決手段】エンジンに供給される燃料(例えばガソリン)に異種燃料(例えば軽油、灯油、重油等)が混入すると、排出ガスの空燃比がリーン方向に大きく変化し、それに応じて排出ガスセンサの出力がリーン方向に大きく変化して正常範囲から外れるため、空燃比F/B(フィードバック)制御の空燃比F/B補正量がリッチ方向に大きくなって所定の正常範囲(例えば正常な燃料が供給されている場合の空燃比F/B補正量の範囲)から外れる。この特性に着目して、空燃比F/B制御中に、空燃比F/B補正量が正常範囲から外れたか否かを判定し、空燃比F/B補正量が正常範囲から外れた場合に、異種燃料(軽油、灯油、重油等)が混入していると判定する。

Description
まず、図1に基づいてエンジン制御システム全体の概略構成を説明する。
内燃機関であるエンジン11の吸気管12の最上流部には、エアクリーナ13が設けられ、このエアクリーナ13の下流側に、吸入空気量を検出するエアフローメータ14が設けられている。このエアフローメータ14の下流側には、モータ15によって開度調節されるスロットルバルブ16と、このスロットルバルブ16の開度(スロットル開度)を検出するスロットル開度センサ17とが設けられている。
Claims (5)
- 内燃機関の排出ガスの空燃比又はリッチ/リーンを検出する排出ガスセンサと、
前記排出ガスセンサの出力に基づいて前記内燃機関に供給される燃料に異種燃料が混入しているか否かを判定する異種燃料混入判定手段と
を備えていることを特徴とする内燃機関の異種燃料混入判定装置。 - 前記排出ガスセンサの出力に基づいて排出ガスの空燃比を目標空燃比に一致させるように燃料噴射量をフィードバック補正する空燃比フィードバック制御手段を備え、
前記異種燃料混入判定手段は、前記空燃比フィードバック制御手段による空燃比フィードバック補正量に基づいて前記異種燃料が混入しているか否かを判定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の異種燃料混入判定装置。 - 前記異種燃料混入判定手段により前記異種燃料が混入していると判定されたときに、前記空燃比フィードバック補正量に基づいて前記異種燃料の混入割合を推定する異種燃料混入割合推定手段を備えていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の異種燃料混入判定装置。
- 前記内燃機関は、燃料としてガソリンを使用するガソリンエンジンであり、
前記異種燃料混入判定手段は、前記異種燃料として、軽油、灯油、重油のうちの少なくとも1つが混入しているか否かを判定することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の異種燃料混入判定装置。 - 前記異種燃料混入判定手段は、前記異種燃料が混入しているか否かを判定する際の判定条件を前記内燃機関の温度又はこれに関連性のある温度情報に応じて変更することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の異種燃料混入判定装置。
