Abstract
【解決手段】織物層がそれぞれ複数の金属ストランドから形成され、アセンブリは、デバイスの所望の形状を実質的に設定するためにモールド内で熱処理される。複数の層をこうして形成された医療デバイス内に組み込むことにより、デバイスが体器官内の異常な開口を素早く閉塞する機能が著しく改善される。

- 内側金属織物を囲む外側金属織物を有する折り畳むことができる医療デバイスであって、前記外側及び内側金属織物はそれぞれ膨張事前設定形状、近位端、及び遠位端を持つ複数の編組金属ストランドを有し、前記近位端及び遠位端は前記内側及び外側金属織物を含む前記複数の編組ストランドをまとめる手段を有し、前記医療デバイスは血管に富む器官内の異常な開口の閉塞を形成する形状を有し、前記膨張事前設定形状は患者体内の流路を通して送達できるより小さな断面寸法に合わせて変形可能であり、前記外側及び内側金属織物は前記医療デバイスが拘束されていない場合に前記膨張事前設定形状に戻る傾向を有するような記憶特性を持つ折り畳むことができる医療デバイス。
